YAY! Our second set has arrived!

Hi everyone! Man, I have missed you all! Seems like I have been in another universe the past few days. Anyway, all 4 of my babies are napping right now and I should be napping too, but I thought I would take a few minutes and get an update done.

So on Friday morning, November 7th at 2am, my water broke. It is so shocking because my water has NEVER broken on it's own before. My DH and I were brushing our teeth getting ready to go to bed around 10pm on Thursday and he was like....what happens if we have to go to the hospital in the middle of the night? I was like....that will never happen, my water would have to break and it has never done that before, I don't expect it to do it now.....LOL Couple hours later I was eating those words!

So I made it to the bathroom and even onto the toilet before it broke (yea no mess) and I sat there in the dark blinking my eyes thinking....wait.....did I pee already???......no....I still have to go.....huh.......it was then that I realized that it happened. So a call to my OB (who had just gotten back into bed about 10 minutes earlier after getting home from a delivery) and we were off to the hospital. Got there and I was dilated to 3-4 and I think it was about 2:40am. My OB comes walking in looking like a zombie at about 4am, poor guy, and we were pretty much a go right after that.

Emersyn Mary was born at 4:50am weighing 5 pounds 6 ounces and 18 inches long and Evan Covington was born at 4:52am weighing 5 pounds 9 ounces and 18.5 inches long. Emmy had the cord around her nexk once, but it was loose, so no issues.

The section took much longer than I remember the last one taking, but it was really awesome. I had so much better pain management with this one, it really wasn't bad at all. I was certain I would have to stay until Monday, but Sunday I was feeling really great, took a shower and was up and about, so I was able to leave Sunday afternoon.

I am probably forgetting some details, but I can't think of any other ones right now....I can always add later. I think they are nursing what brains I had left into oblivion.....they are champion nursers which was the main thing I wanted by trying to keep them in there as long as possible. It worked!! They are both EBF and I did rent a pump from the hospital for a "just in case" I needed it type situation. I have used it twice and then given them what I pumped with a tiny syringe, but that was it and only because my one nipple was bleeding :mellow: It is better now though. Neither of them have had a bottle of any kind except for right after they were born to get their sugars up since I was in surgery longer this time. The nurses were great in using syringes if we needed too and had no problem at all trying to grant me all of my wishes.

I would say that if it is possible to have a "perfect" hospital experience, I just had it!

Ok, so now the most awaited thing....their pics. I have yet to get many of Emersyn with her eyes open....I have to keep trying I hope I post these correctly.

Thanks everyone!! We are so overjoyed with them....their big sister is having some slight jealousy issues but she seems to be getting better each day....she doesn't scream "NO BEBE'S" quite as much as of today :mellow:

The other twins are doing well. DS is great, he just runs over and kisses their heads and then runs away back to what he was doing....DD is a little jealous, but she is taking it pretty well. She loudly states when she doesn't want someone holding them....and cries....but she gets over it quickly
