yay im finally here

After months of trying to work out how on earth to have sex while being a mum to 2 year old twins, we worked it out! im so relieved because spontanaiety doesnt exist in our life so trying to make it happen and seem like fun, was hard work.

i think im 5.5 weeks, but i have a question about the home test. The second line was SOOOOOOOOOOO faint. I remember with the twins, i didnt even blink and it come up strong. This time i had to wait full 5 minutes and then finally a slight pink line.

Does that mean the pregnancy may not last? such low levels of hormones, could it mean that the foetus is weak? or maybe it means that its not twins???

The first time I tested the line was very faint too! I tested a few days later (again) and it was darker and showed up quicker.

Congratulations! The strength of the color of the line doesn't really indicate much. You can have a strong line a few days before your missed period or a faint one a few days after. With my twins, it was really strong almost 7 days before my period was due. With my 1st singleton, I got a very faint line about 1 day before my period. With this baby, it was a strong line about 2 days before (even though I hadn't gotten a positive at all 2 days before that).

 

Don't worry about the color of the line! It could be the test, could be your urine concentration, etc.

Congratulations!!!! My lines with Mikiah were very faint, until I was 2 weeks late. A line is still a line and because its faint doesnt mean anything is wrong with the pregnancy. You just might not be very far along, and many other reasons. Congrats again, wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!!

YAY!!! A positive is a positive no matter how faint. The fact that is faint probably means it is just one. My tests this time round popped up right away very dark and my OB said it is probably because I am carrying multiples again... sure enough I am. It just has to do with the amount of hormone you have, more hormone darker line.
