I would love to see who all is in the First Year Forum! Do you guys want to introduce yourselves?

We can say how old our babies are, boy or girls, and what are favorite twin mommy moment is.

    I'll start:

We have twin boys that are 7 months old - Michael and Jeremiah. They were born 35w5d and were in the NICU for about a week or so.

My favorite twin moment has been watching them laugh at each other!!!

    Your Turn!

    Hi, I'm Jackie. I am mom to g/b preschool twins, Audrey and Clayton (7lbs, 11 & 7lbs 7 respectively at 38 weeks).

I am also mom to Evan (vanishing twin at 9wks) who was born at 10lbs, 1oz at 40wk1day.

Audrey is a little mom to Evan who is the happiest baby I have ever seen! (people say I deserve one good one!) I think they are right! :)

WIth my preschoolers, since they have been speech delayed, it's been great listening to their conversations.

ETA: I should add that I moderate the breastfeeding forum if anyone has any advice, suggestions or need help! :)

We had b/g twins on September 2nd. Mary Kathryn (Katie) was 5 lbs, 9 ozs, and Tyler was 4 lbs, 14 ozs. Tyler was in the NICU for 10 days and Katie for 8. My favorite moment so far was... when they slept throught the night (LOL), even if it was just once! Seriously, I am loving each and every day seeing them start to laugh and coo and recognize us and their mobiles and other toys. I can't wait until they notice each other!!!

I'm Suzanne and I'm 24 yrs old. I have 4 month [and 2 wks :p] old identical ladies! They were born at 38 wks and 2 days [on 7/7/08]. They weighed in at 6 lb 2 oz and 6 lb 8 oz. No NICU time, thankfully.

They are my first [and possibly only] children.

So far my favorite moment as a mommy is hearing them laugh and/or talk to eachother!

    Alyssa laughing: http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h241/Hal...yssaII35mos.flv
Babies talking [and yucky DROOL]: http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h241/Hal...nddrool3mos.flv

Can't wait to meet the other mommy's!!

Hi, I'm Pam! My identical twin boys were born on May 20. Creed was 6lbs. 14oz. and Laud was 7lbs. 11oz.

My favorite twin moment is when my DH mixes them up. I get a great laugh out of that. And I especially love when the twin that isn't crying looks at the twin that is wishing he could just help him.

Can I reply since I'm in here as a mod even though my girls are 12 months old now?
Well I hope everyone says "yes" because I'm introducing myself! :p
Hi! :wavey: My name is Aimee and I have di/di identical girls named Amelia and Lily who were born at 36 weeks 5 days :)

I think my favorite thing about having twins is watching them interact with each other, they are like best friends! I love when they make each other giggle!

Hi :wavey: I´m Rachel, 33 years old, and I´m mum to B/G twins. I´m British, my DH is Spanish and we all live in Spain.

Hugo & Isabella arrived on 28th May 2008 at 37.3 weeks. I begged to be induced as I couldn´t take the weight anymore! :winking: They are my first and, most likely, only children (we did IVF - it worked first time!).

DS was 6.6lbs and DD was 5.4lbs. She spent the night in the incubator so I didn´t meet her until the next day.

My favourite moments are when they smile and laugh at each other and when they recognise me and get all excited! :)

Hi! Even though my twins are almost 11 months (yikes) and I help mod here, I'll introduce myself

I'm Nancy, age 33, mom to b/g twins.

I've had many favorite twin mommy moments: laughs, smiles, saying mama, but most recently since Sophia can stand...when DH is crawling on the floor after Luke, Sophia will get behind him and "smack" his butt. I don't why but it cracks us up!

I'm Heather. Ruby and Scarlet were born 3/17/2008 at 35 weeks. Ruby weighed 5 lbs. and Scarlet was 5 lbs. 8 oz. Ruby was in NICU for 10 days and Scarlet for 1.

I love how they crawl to me and then 'swim' on the floor until you pick them up! It's so adorable!

I'm the other Rachel (the 34 year old one :) ). We have 5 month old fraternal twin boys Mark and Eli. There were born at 38 weeks a a couple days, and they were pretty big boys although not as big as Jackies twins :)

I don't know if I have one favorite moment, but I laughed when they had their first fight a few weeks ago--it was over a toy. I also got really excited this week because they are attempting to crawl, so they are now mobile (I know it's a blessing and a curse.)

Hi, My name is Carol & I have fraternal twin boys David & Nicholas. ( we did IVF & thank god it worked!). They were born at 39 wks. & both over 6 pnds. They make me laugh when they try to crawl THROUGH each other if one is in the way! They are 11 months & I'm sad that this year has flown by so fast!!! I also have 2 adult children a girl 23 yrs. old & a boy 22 yrs. old. Everyone said we were crazy for having kids so far apart but we love every second with all of our kids!!

  15. Hi all

We have 6 month old baby girl twins-- Alexandra Marie and Madison Jean- who were born on May 6th at 35wks 2 days- Madi was 4.14 and Alex was 5.15 at birth and now they are 16 and 19.5 pounds respectively. They spent an extra 3 days in the hosptial due to temp issues (under warmers) but no nicu time. My favorite twin moment was the other day when they were fighting over a toy-- Alex was practically rolling over Madi and as little as she is she held onto that toy and would not let her sister muscle it away. We also have a 4 year old DD- Sydney Elizabeth. - here is a recent pic

    Hello!
I'm Erin, 31, and Mom to three boys: Eric (2 1/2yrs), Aiden and William (10 months). Our twins were born at 37 weeks and weighed 7lb 11oz and 8lb 3oz - I was HUGE!
Favorite twin moment: When they fall asleep nursing and cuddling together. This is the only time they fall asleep while being held at all. Usually, no matter what we do- rock, walk, etc., they stay awake and look at us. Nursing does the trick, but I don't let them do it very often. When they do, it's so precious to me.
You ladies have been such a great support system! Thank you!!

Favorite moment: smiles, giggles, and "talking" to each other. So sweet.

My girls are still kinda young but I guess my favorite twin moment is when they hold hands while playing on their floor mat, or when they put their hands in each others mouths. So cute!

Hi I'm Jenny and I have twin boys born at 34 weeks. My favorite moment so far is seeing them smile when my husband and I talk to them/play with them. Also to watch them concentrate on sight, sounds, and colors. How in the world can you be mad at them for waking you up early in the am only to see a smile?

I'm Jori. ID twin boys Finley and Sullivan born at 35w 1d. 5lbs 11oz and 5lbs 7oz. 1 week in the NICU for jaundice/weight gain. My favorite twin moment at this age is when they sit and talk to each other and then make each other laugh. It is like they are having their own conversations (that no one else can understand!).

Hi everyone! This is so neat! I am another Rachel. I am 29 (oh geez, 30 is next year). I have twin frats Aidan and Ethan. They will be 4 months old Nov 30. I can't believe that. I also have two awesome stepchildren Alex, 9 and Sara, 5 that live with us full time. I work in the automotive industry as an office manager and my husband Will works as an business analyst for a meat company. Aidan and Ethan were born at 38 weeks 6 days c-sec. I tried to have them vag but they had other plans. No NICU time for us. Aidan was 5 lbs 11 oz and Ethan was 6 lbs 8 oz. We did IVF and it was a sucess on the first go around. People that know us think we are crazy for having four kids. I can't imagine life any other way. I am truly blessed by God to have 4 beautiful children and a AWESOME husband who is right beside me (either covered in poo or spit up) every step of the way. I love my life!! :yahoo:

My favorite twin moments are when I see or hear them "talking" to each other. They look each other right in the eyes and lean in towards each other when they talk. It's great!!!

I also have a 15.5 year old son, and an almost 4 year old son. My DH and I have been married since 2001.

    Hi Ladies,
My name is Wendy (34 years), I have g/g fraternal twins that are 10 months old. I also have a 5 year old son. My favorite thing about having my twins this week is yesterday afternoon when I went to pick them up at day care, when they heard my voice they both turned to see me, squealed with delight and did their "modified" crawls as quickly as they could over to me! Baby B does an army crawl and baby H does what I call a frog hop crawl. They looked so cute racing to get to me. They are both very efficient at how they crawl. As for my favorite thing overall, not really sure, there are so many to choose from.

I just love the way they interact, and have finally started to play with each other. Their laughs melt my heart!

I'm Rachel, I am 26 and DH is 28. We have two boys, James and Jack, born at 36 weeks one day by emergency c-section.
We used IUI to get pregnant due to PCOS and severe male factor (in fact our IUI was supposed to be "practice" for IVF). Neither of our boys I had any NICU time and were 6lbs12oz and 6lbs8oz.

My favorite moment so far has been seeing them try to imitate sounds that we make like blowing raspberries :)

I'm Jenny and I'm so tired that I forgot how old I am! Good grief! I had to do the math - I'm 32 yrs old. Anyway, I'm a mom to Amelia (2 yrs old) and Shawn & Lucas (6 mo tomorrow - born 5/20/08). My favorite twin moments is when I catch Shawn sucking Lucas's thumb (he he he!) and when they get excited for each other. If I'm playing with one and making him laugh, the other will look over and start laughing too because his brother is having fun!
