I can't believe the day we had! I woke up this morning, realized it was valentine's day, then realized that it was my last day to return the hospital breast pump without getting charged for another month! Ack! So, I woke up the boys, fed them, got them dressed in cold-weather clothes, loaded them into the car, and drove 45 minutes to the hospital's outpatient lactation center, where I returned the pump. Roe was babbling a bit, so I offered him some boob in the hospital waiting room. He ate for a few minutes and we got back on the road. I had a babies r us giftcard burning a hole in my wallet, so we went to BRU, did a little shopping, I fed both boys in the "mother's room" (thank god for that little corner of dookie-diaper scented heaven!) Since petsmart was right next door, We popped into petsmart and grabbed some fish food and a new bone for the dogs. Next, I ran home, ate lunch, fed the boys again, and off we went to the grocery store! We got dinner for tonight and tomorrow night, breakfast and lunch and snacks for a week or more, and a V-day card and some chocolates for the man in our life. And now we're home and I am no longer afraid to take them out in public! The best part is: there was no crying, at all! No fussing, not a tiny bit! The teenaged cashier at the grocery said "wow, you're really lucky, we never see quiet babies!" Yes, I am lucky.
 Congratulations! That is a huge accomplishment. You are super woman!! Happy Valentine's Day!!
I am so impressed! If you can manage all that with 1-month-old twins, then really you can handle just about anything! We should meet up sometime -- I live only 10 minutes from that BRU and Petsmart.
Wow, if I just had one of those things to do in a day that would be my big accomplishment. Good for you. erica
Great job! It will get easier and easier as you continue doing it and get into a routine. My only suggestion is try to keep them in their seats or the stroller as often as possible while running errands. I think my oldest DD got spoiled because we would always carry her especially if she fussed. Therefore, the child would immediately start fussy. I can't carry my twins plus hold onto my oldest, and the twins are awesome about staying in their seats.
Wow! I still haven't taken the twins anywhere just by myself and they are 3 months old!! Sounds like a great productive day!!!
Congrats!! I wish I could run errands!! My DD and DS start to fuss and cry after a few minutes in the car! I don't know why?? They also don't love their stroller...they cry in there after 15 minutes or so. So every day I take them for a ride in the car or a stroller ride (weather permitting) just to get them used to going places! I'm hoping one day I can do what you did!! Congrats!!
whooo hooo super mom!!! that's great, you have alot of energy. It does feel good to get so much done without having to call for a sitter.
 Feels good, doesn't? Mine were four weeks old when I took them out alone. I was told to force myself and it worked out. Fed, changed and they are good to go and fall asleep in the car. As long as the stoller is going, they're good . You should feel really proud. Way to go, mama  .
Days like that are sooooo wonderful, they go by fast and at the end you feel so accomplished 8) WTG!!
