Many of you know of my story with the scare we had with Nathan but at 18 weeks. I was writing in their journal that I have been keeping weekly and then was putting their 4D pictures in their books and I saw the shot of Nathan that forever changed us. I put the shot of him at my level 2 scan where they suspected he was anencephalic and then I put on that same page that a miracle occured and put the date. I know I will never forget hearing those words, but I am planning to give them their baby books for their 18th birthday.

So my ?, should I write in there a snippet of hearing the scay diagnosis so that he will understand what the 2 scans meant? I know we will never forget, but if he goes to show his children one day his book, I began to think what if he would forget. Ya know?

FWIT- I plan on putting the good times and the bad times in their books because I want them to know that struggles make them stronger. They will also know the full story of our infertility journey because it is a part of them even if it isn't the perfect picture. HTH

I would put it in too! I'm also putting my boys' embryo pics (right before our IVF transfer) in their books with a very short description of why we have that picture (not everybody does) nd what a miracle they are. I am putting more about our struggle with infertility in MY family album.

Yep, I definitely would. It was a part of your pregnancy and it will be nice for him and you to read years down the road how everything changed and a miracle took place. I plan to tell my two of their early delivery, even though it was a very scary time, but it is part of who they are.

Absolutely put it in! I have my baby book that was made for me by my grandmother and I love reading the entire thing cover to cover. In fact, the way we told my dad we were expecting was by giving him a "Grandfather Remembers" book for Father's Day (this will be the first....and second....grandchild) for him to complete. Of course, that was before we knew it was twins and now we need two books! lol

Thanks everyone for the input. :D I wrote it out on a piece of scrapbooking paper and after reading through the responses, I am going to be glueing the sheet onto the page here before I go to bed. :)
