For the last 3 days Noahs breath and urine has smelled really wierd. The only thing I can think its smells like is cocoa butter or sunscreen. Of course being the "cyberchondriac" that I am I have researched everything online and the only thing that comes up is diabetes. He is not showing any other symptoms except maybe excess thirst which is only apparent because he nurses ALOT, but that is nothing new. I should add he does have a bit of a cold but the smell isnt one of infection. Well just wondering what your thoughts were or if anyones has experienced this.
    Thanks for reading,
    Megan

I might just call them. It's probably nothing, but since you have the question in your head. They can tell you when you need to really worry!

With it being Friday and you've noticed this for the past 3 days, I would give them a call and see what they say.

I would call- they can advise you to come in or wait and see if it resolves.

Have you changed your diet if you are nursing? foods like asparagus, broccoli, etc can change the 'milk' scent and may alter his urine smell/color.

This was my first thought, too. And I only say that because I go through those thoughts every time one of my children get different smelling breath. Seriously, I do. My nephew was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes a year and a half ago, and all I can say about it is he had excessive, excessive thirst, lost a lot of weight (which he didn't have to lose in the first place), and always complained of not feeling good. And his symptoms only went on for about a week (if that) before my SIL brought him in.

I am always of the thought that peace of mind is well worth the expense of going to the doctor. Worrying and over playing everything is miserable. Call and see what your doc says!!

My kids get smelly breath and urine when they are teething. I wasn't sure how old your son is, but my daycare provider said this is sometimes a symptom. It has been for my kids.

The sweet smell and excessive thirst are the telltale signs of diabetes. I would take him to the doc at the first available appt.
