We really seem to agree on Asher for a boy. It is the only name that DH and I both really like. We both like Ansley for a girl, but I worry that he will have a hebrew (somewhat classic) name and she will have a celtic place name. I am named after a place in ireland and it seems ok with me to do the same for her. I just worry that they aren't similar in origin or something. Ansley Heather Asher Henry WDYT??? We have been over all kinds of other A names for her and keep coming back to Ansley. I could stray from the A, but would have to really like it...
There is nothing wrong with mixing origins in names. In twin names you don't even have to relate them. They are linked by the As alone

I agree with the other posters, it doesn't matter if the origins are the same or not - the initials link the two names.
QUOTE(*Sully* @ Aug 27 2007, 07:22 PM) Ansley Heather Asher Henry I think they are lovely combinations on their own and together. If it feels right to you, go for it! Other biblical/Jewish A suggestions (just in case you aren't 100% yet): Abigail Abilene Adah Adara Adena/Adina Ahava Aliza (means joyful, which would match well with Asher's meaning) Alona Amira Anah Anna Apphia Ariel Atarah Avia Ayala Ayelet Ayla
