worst week ever

I'm a middle school teacher and last week a student threatened to kill me. I was terrified and of course my family was as well.
It's times like this that makes my little girls seem all the more precious - right now they are laughing hysterically at each other and trying to give kisses to each other without knocking themselves over. How therapeutic!! If I didn't have my dh and those sweet girls to keep my mind off of things, I would probably still be in bed!!
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to share.

I am teacher too. I hope you reported this student and action is being taken. Teaching is hard enough without death threats!!! Hugs! :hug99:

I am also a middle school science teacher. Try to have the student removed from your class immediately so you do not have to deal with them the rest of the year. I had that happen to me one year and the student was taken to a juvenile detention school.

 

omg, what is wrong with kids today? I am so sorry you are going through this, I can't imagine how hard it would be! I pray it is resolved soon and can be put in the past.

 

Oh my! As if teaching isn't hard enough, now we have to add death threats to the list! :hug99: to you. I hope that kid is removed from your class!

 

I am a sub teacher, and had a 3rd grader tell me that he was going to put me in the hospital....he knew what he was talking about too. Since I am pg, it scared the day lights out of me....how horrible to be afraid of a 3rd grader isn't it? The teacher and principal reported, and when I had to go back to the class a month later he was no longer there. Too much of a threat to everyone else, and the other kids were scared of me. Makes you wonder about children today doesn't it??

Yeah, I have a stalking protective order in place for now so he's not allowed back in school. We get out pretty early here - his last day would have been next week so I've been told that I'll never have to work with him again. Thank goodness.
