I have been worrying a lot lately about the baby because although I think I've felt movement I'm not positive and it seems to be sporadic. I'm a worrier already, which I hate, but having a few friends lose their babies has made it worse. I have my big ultrasound scheduled for next Monday (Aug.24) and I keep worrying about what I'm going to see. This time has been so hard because it has been a long time since I've been pregnant and I cannot remember when I first started feeling the other girls move. Also I started showing really fast with this one so I think I keep expecting for feel things sooner. Basically I'm wondering if I should be worried that I haven't felt strong obvious movement yet? Also when do you normally start feeling frequent movement or movement that others can feel? Please tell me I'm worrying for nothing.

I was in the same boat you are! I first felt movement with Spencer at around 17 weeks, I think. Then not again for about a month. It was totally stressing me out!!! I think after having twins, things are maybe stretched out kind of, so you're just a little less likely to feel the early movements? I'm sure it will be fine, and that you'll see that active little one moving all over, on Monday.

It's so hard not to worry when it comes to movement. At this point, I think it's still pretty early to expect consistent movement. From my understanding, it's not unusual until 22+ weeks, and even in those circumstances there are wide variances. You know those people who "didn't know they were pregnant"?? Obviously, assuming those stories are true, it can happen for some women. Waiting for the u/s is so hard. KUP!

I've been worried about the same thing lately and I'm two weeks behind you! For some reason the nurse told me 'after 15 weeks' for movement this time around and so now i'm parinoid. I noticed something very distinct off and on a few weeks ago, and since then there's been nothing at all. I also went into my last appointment feeling so good that I was actually a little parinoid that they wouldn't find a h.b. It was hard for her to find, but the baby was clearly on the side of my uterus that I had expected him/her to be based on the movements I had thought I felt earlier. I, too, am a little nervous over my u/s on Sept 18th. I think it's pretty normal to feel a little worried. Especially coming off a previous pg where you had a lot of u/s. My twin pg had around 12-15 u/s. My pg with my last singleton had around 20!! (because of bleeding problems) So I had tons of constant reassurance that she was fine. Going back to a normal, easy pregnancy is obviously a blessing... I feel great, barely know I'm pregnant... but the flip side is that I feel so good that I'm parinoid that I'm not really pregnant anymore. I think it's normal, and I think we both just need to think about something else. After all, there really is nothing we can do about it one way or the other. We just have to wait!

Just wanted to chime in b/c I secretly (and not so secretly) am looking forward to the day I can join you ladies in here! Anyway, with the twins I didn't feel any kicks or movement until 21 weeks and then it was just once a week or so. DH could finally feel them around 27 weeks. Hang in there! I'm so glad I didn't know it was twins until 19 weeks or I would have been so worried during the beginning. I'm sure I will be feeling the same when next time around!

I never felt movement early. WIth the twins it was 20w1d and with Evan I think it was 18 weeks. Movement at this stage can be sporatic. There was a time with the twins that I didn't really feel much. Turns out they were facing each other and hitting/kicking each other. One of them had a placenta on the front which meant that the first kicks had to be strong for me to feel them. There are so many worries.. try to relax and look forward to your appt.

I've definitely had movement for almost 2 weeks, but only 1-3 times per day. I don't know what it's supposed to feel like, but I'd say it feels like somersaults! not kicking. A gymnast, I think.

Thank you for sharing - I am at 20 weeks and think at times I have felt but other times doubtful. Was starting to worry until reading the different replies.
