Wow! Your kids are doing this at 5 mo!!
Mine started much later, but are still doing it at almost 3.
For years before now, the quiet one just learned to ignore it. Lately though it has gotten disruptive and I may have to seperate them.

Lots of people here have seperated their kids because of this. Mine learned to sleep through each other.

    You're right, it's cute but...

    Good luck!

Yep! Just this morning Miles was talking in his crib for a good hour until he finally fell asleep and Austin immediately started up for another hour. Turkeys. They seem to be able to sleep through each other's noise though for the most part.. just when they're both hungry they can get each other going.

Mine are usually quiet during naps (they go right to sleep). However, I do separate them for naps because my DS usually takes much shorter naps than DD. DS sleeps in a PNP in our room.

Haha, this is one of ours at bedtime!! The othe one just lays on his side and goes to sleep, but the "chatty" one will "talk" for 20 minutes!!

Be glad it's at nap time. We had 'concerts' that would start at about 2am and go on for hours. I learned the hard way that if I went in to try and get her back to sleep she would get even more excited to have an audience and this would make her talk and sing for even longer. Sometimes she would wake her brother and he would be her back up singer. It took about 2 weeks but it finally stopped and she now does her talking during the day.

LOL, that is too funny!! One of our LOs does the same thing...some nights around 1am he will start babbling and kind of scream. I would walk in the bedroom to check on him and he will start smiling and kicking his arms and legs out. I find it better just to let me babble and then fall back asleep. I love calling it a "concert!"
