Today we had an ultrasound. During our ultrasound, we had a specialist, who’s specializes in momo twins come in and observe. After a half hour, she took over. An hour later, she turned to us and said:

"I don’t know how to say this but, you're NOT having momo's! You have one of the thinnest membranes I have ever seen. BUT, there is a membrane!!!... And oh, they are girls!"

    Baby A is 14oz
    Baby B is 15oz

    Both are healthy and active!

Me and my Aunt (who was a stand in for hubby, who is out doing field training) were all tears and smiles. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am, and not to mention relieved. We had given up hope. After 5 ultrasounds at different levels, all with the same outcome, "no membrane" You can't begin to imagine the weight that has been lifted.

I’m just as excited to be told its GIRLS! I called daddy-to-be after, and the first thing out of his mouth is "Can we try again?"

Just wanted to share our AMAZING news!!! :D

Congrats on the great appointment ~ I am sure that is a relief!

Once your girlies are born we will all have to get together (with another twinstuff washington mom who just had girls a month ago) and have a Princess party! ;)

Thats awesome!! I am so glad to hear your news. We had the same problem-initially it took our OB about an hour to find the membrane, it was like looking at a hair on the screen it was that thin. She took a ton of pics for proof because non of the techs could find it during our growth scans. It is weird now though that I am further along it is easier to see...go figure. I am so happy for you though. And congrats on the girlies

What a relief!!! We had a similar concern with our boys. Congrats on the girls! I'm still shocked I had boys. We don't have many in our family.

Yay! What a relief!! The same thing happened to us - we were diagnosed MoMo and then after a super long ultrasound a couple weeks later they saw a super thin membrane

That is wonderful news! I really wanted a girl but I just keep getting boys. Oh well, maybe I will try again in a few years. I am extremely happy with my son and the coming of my two baby boys. Boys always love their mothers so I am looking forward to all of the love.
