Wish us well tomorrow

Josh is having surgery tomorrow morning to get his adenoids out and while he is under anesthesia he is going to have a bronch and upper GI done to further eval his reflux as he (and Noah) still continue to have quite a difficult time with reflux (still wakes at night from reflux, still throws up occasionally, on prevacid, was hospitalized for pneumonia this past winter, ect). I am actually looking forward to the surgery because I know it will help him sleep better (he is having a hard time breathing because his adenoids are enlarged) and I am glad they are looking further into his reflux. Thanks for the well wishes and prayers!

OMG, poor little guy!!! Poor mommy and daddy!!! I wish you all the very very very best of luck that it all goes completely smoothly. My girlfriend's son just had that surgery 2 days ago. He had his tonsils and adenoids removed. It went very well for him but obviously was very difficult and scary for my friend and her husband. I can only imagine how stressed out you are. I will be thinking of you all tomorrow and please let us know how he is doing!!

Yep, the fridge is stocked with pudding, trix yogurt (what a treat!), ice cream, jello, and of course fruit snacks - sounds healthy huh? We also got some eggs for scrambled eggs and daddy is going to make waffles. but I am sure the ice cream will be a treat.

Thank you all of your well wishes. I don't feel that nevrous yet, but I think I will feel it come tomorrow morning. Josh had surgery about 6 months ago for ear tubes and it went pretty well. Noah also had surgery when he was 11 months old (on his neck for torticollis), so this isn't our first time around - so that definatly helps. Plus I am a RN at children's where Noah's surgery is being done - another plus. But all of these things aside, I am still his mom!!! So when the alarm goes off at 4:45 am tomorrow (we have to be there at 6 am, so I suppose we will be leaving around 5:20 or 5:30), I am sure I will be feeling the nerves then!!!

hey amy, i hope that things are going well this morning. my daughter had the same procedure at about 3 1/2. i just wanted to let you know that in our experience the ice cream was to thick for her to eat at first and sorbet was her fav. just incase you have the same experience i did. good luck!
