Wish us luck!

Noah is going to Children's tomorrow for ear tubes and most likely an adenoidectomy. Josh had the same surgeries last year, so I am not to worried about the actual surgery. I can't wait for him to be free of ear infections and hopefully less sinus infections too. My only concern right now is that his surgery isn't until 11am, so he won't be able to eat until then. He can have apple juice/clears when he wakes in the morning until 8am, but after that nothing. I know that is going to be hard on Noah. Last year Josh's surgeries were early in the am, so it wasn't as long of a wait. Anyways, feel free to send up some prayers for mommy's sanity tomorrow! Thanks!

Good luck! Elizabeth just had her's done last Tuesday and it was hard not to feed her She finally went in at 9:15 (was scheduled for 8am) and was very unhappy. I hope all goes well and he feels better soon!

How did it go Amy?

 

Whew, it's all done!! Thanks for all of the well wishes everyone! Noah did very well. He was able to have some juice in the am, so that helped to hold him off for a bit. Of course he kept asking me for food and telling me was hungry and saying please mommy, please!! His surgery was delayed about 45 min because they were running behind, so it was almost noon by the time he got in. He got ear tubes and his adenoids removed (they were very enlarged). He had a bit of a hard wake up (which I expected from previous surgeries for him and his brother), but they gave him Fentanyl and Versed so that helped him calm down a little bit. We stayed in our room for a few hours and then got to go home. He has been watching moives most of the afternoon and evening and now is in bed. He is already eating normal. Just having some pain, but he is on tylenol with codeine, and that helps a lot! I think we should finally be ear infection free for both boys for the rest of this winter at least!!!

 

Glad it all went well! I hope that stops his infections.
