Well tomorrow is the last day. I just noticed over the past couple of weeks they have gotten worse and worse about wanting them constantly. Screaming and crying for them all the time. Well enough is enough I am cutting off the nipples and throwing them away on Monday. This way I won't be tempted to get them out of the garbage. Wish us luck I know we will need it!

You are a brave woman! Mine still have them at bedtime and naptime! They aren't allowed to walk around with them. Good luck!

That's what we have started to do as well. They don't leave the cribs (well, except to go in the dishwasher, LOL).

    GOOD LUCK!!

Good luck! It's been going pretty well here, the binkies have been gone for a week. The first night was a little rough, but really not bad. I am so glad to be rid of them.

Good luck!! When my oldest DD gave her's to Santa I threw them all away so, like you, wouldn't be tempted to give them back. Then I could honestly say, we didn't have anymore.

Good luck! We weaned them from all day use to cribs only before not letting them have them at all.

My boys have only been allowed them at nap and bedtime from the beginning... because as I was looking back on baby pictures of my daughter.... almost every single picture she had a binky in her mouth (matching her outfit of course :winking0009: )
For her though- we couldn't find a single binky one day- I looked everywhere!!! In the cars, in the crib, diaper bag, in each room- nada . I panicked as it was naptime- but ended up putting her down without one (this was right at one year) ended up going in the back yard to do something and it was a sea of little bitty binky pieces!!! The dog found ALL of them and chewed them up! So we actually were happy with our dog for binky weaning our daughter!!!!!
We are looking at getting rid of the boys binkies- but it is cute when they wake up ... they actually hand them over!
    Best of luck to you!!!

Update.....I laid them down tonight with the binkies but went in after they feel asleep and took them away. They usually wake up to nurse and did so tonight. I laid them down no binkie. they cried a little but did okay. I hope the trend continues!

Jet was exactly the same, it was hanging out his mouth most parts of everyday until he was about 2 and a half years old.

one day the dummy monster came and amazingly enough it worked! i had no intentions that it would, he asked for him dummy once of twice afterwards and that was it.

It went great. Not a peep. Why is this so easy? I thought it would be horrible I mean they were attached at the hip with these things.
