I am taking the boys to a Birthday party for the first time all by myself. I have to admit, I am a little nervous. Yes, there are people that I know, but they are not family.

So, this will be interesting. I will update everyone when I get back this evening.

How did it go?? There's always willing arms at birthday parties, first party I took the kids to myself I had someone I don't know (my best friend's preacher's wife), holding my daughter. Then my daughter puked on her (stupid reflux), so she switched to my son!

I hope it went great! It gets easier the more you do it!

Well, we got there and Jonathan waited a half hour before he had a complete meltdown. Thankfully, the hostess offered one of her bedrooms for me to lay the boys down. It was time for their third nap. I will be happy when they do not need 3 naps any more, but for now....it is fine. A poor lady who I have seen a few times asked to help me feed them. So, during burping, David had a wet burp right on her shoulder. I was so embarrased, but she said it was okay. I offered her Jonathan, but she wanted to keep going with David.

It was not bad and I am sure that it will get better the more I do it. So, I am thinking that I should leave the house every Saturday. DH is gone and it is not good for my soul or sanity to be cooped up in the house for 4 days.

Thank you for all the great karma.

Good job getting out! It really does get easier, even just go to the mall or walmart or something and go for a walk, it's the in/out of carseat/stroller that's the pain, everything else gets easier and easier! :D

Aw congratulations! There will be no stopping you now. I have been very slack on leaving the house alone this last month but like you say i must force myself out to help keep me sane.

I have just started getting out with just the kiddos. I have only gone to church functions or friends houses where I know people who can help me with the babies if they are both crying. Unfortunately they have started to get clingy:( and want only me.
