My babies actually prefer colder bottles. Lukeworm is too hot for them.

My mom thinks it will give them stomachaches. Is this a wives tale??

That is so funny! My mother get VERY angry at me when I give them "chilly" bottles. (which my ds prefers) It must be a generational thing...my mother seriously gets mad at me and says that I am giving them stomach aches...I have yet to see a stomach ache after a cold bottle...We will do the same thing to our kids one day...ahhhhhhh

They will take them cold when they are really hungry. When we are at home, I put them in the microwave for a few seconds to take the chill off. My mother thinks I am going to give them brain freeze if I give them a cold bottle.

It's an old wives tale... cold bottles are supposed to give babies everything from stomach aches and gas to ear infections. Obviously not the case. That being said, my guys hate cold or even cool bottles. They like their bottles nice and warm. I've tried introducing them to cold bottles and they scream!

My girls always preferred colder bottles. They don't like anything very warm!

We moved them to cold bottles very gradually. Now it's what they are used to. I'm psyched I don't have to microwave their plastic bottles anymore - to me, it's quite disturbing to think of the affects of microwaving plastic.

My guys do not like cold bottles; they even like their food warmed. However, I do believe it is an old wives tale.

I've fed my kids cold from the fridge since they were born - it was one of the few things that helped my son when he was projectile puking - if his formula was too warm it would come up even faster...

my MIL actually picked several fights with DH about the temperature of the bottles...

They should be fine and it wil help them get used to cold drinks in the future (like milk and juice). I wish mine liked cold drinks. I have some work to do in the next month! ;)
