I was a medium size & 36B before pregnancy, 44A during my lst month of pregnancy andnow I'm 40A! I cant fit into any of my tops and it's been 4 weeks since birth!

Do I need to get a corset?? What can I do to help shrink my ribcage?

I went from a 36B to a 40D when I was 4 months pregnant w/ my oldest. After I stopped nursing my 2nd son, I was back down to a B, but my ribcage has never gone back. Having 5 kids hasn't helped, I'm sure.

Mine seems to be back to normal within the last month or so.

Four weeks is not a long time at all -- maybe your rib cage will go back to its former size, or get smaller from what it is now, but I'm not at all surprised that it hasn't yet. I really don't think there is anything you can do to "help" it, either -- a corset is definitely not a solution, unless you're looking to, you know, crush your bones, be uncomfortable, that kind of thing (and when you remove the corset your shape will return to what it is now, it's not going to actually make your rib cage smaller). I know it seems like it's been a long time since your body has been your own, but be a little more patient -- your body has been through a LOT, and it's going to take some time before things "settle down," whether that means returning to its old shape, or settling into a new one.

FWIW, my twins are 10 1/2 months old, and my rib cage has not returned to its former size. I'm still hoping though.... [IMG]

I was about 4-5months PP before I bothered to buy any new bras and see what my new size was. About 4-5monts PP I went to Victoria's Secret and got measured. I only BF for 2.5months

    34C- Before Pregnancy
    34D-by 10 weeks pregnant
    36D- mid pregnancy
36DD by end of pregnancy and PP
5mos PP- 34D and seem to be staying there
