I am being induced this Thursday and I am soooo nervous. I was completely set on a c/s but both babies are head down and face down. My ob said that if at any time during the induction I change my mind I can have a c/s. Could some of you share your induction stories even if they didn't turn out all that great? I guess either way I will be meeting my little boys in 4 days. Thanks Ladies

I had a scheduled c-section so no induction advice - just wanted to say good luck! I bet you can't wait to finally hold them! :)

    Congratulations!! How exciting!!
I wasn't planning on being induced, but at 37w2d I had a lot of protein in my urine and my blood pressure was insane, so they thought it would be best for my girls if they induced me. Immediately after they broke my water I started having contractions. The worst part for me was the blood pressure medication they had to give me. I can't remember what it was called but made me feel like I had been run over by a truck!! I ended up with a c/s but I felt good about how everything went.
    You'll do great!

I was induced at 37w5d, had both vaginally- but 7 hours apart  on different days!!! But I am glad I went the vaginal route, the recovery was not painful at all for me. No matter how you have them it will be such a great day :D !!!!

I was induced at 38w1d and then unfortunately my blood pressure skyrocketed and my platelettes crashed. I had an emergency csection with in 3 hours of the dr. breaking my water and giving potossin. I was then in the hospital for a week on mag sulfate to prevent seizures from the blood loss. Sorry that my story is not as great one. Good Luck to you!

I went in to be induced at 38W6D. Mine didn't go as planned simply because baby A was sunny side up and ear-first (didn't know this until after he was born). I didn't really feel the contractions until about 5cm and then they switched the epidural on so it was mostly just laying around and waiting and waiting and waiting. When they checked me at the 24 hour mark, I was at 9 so they had me give a couple of practice pushes and we determined that not only was he not descending on his own, I wasn't moving him at all with a good push and they couldn't get him to move back up. The doctor pronounced him wedged and we went in for a C.

The good news is that they both endured the labor well and were able to come to the recovery room with me and nurse right away. A C is no picnic and I'd never have one electively but I am glad that I got the result I was after even if I didn't have the ideal experience getting there.
