William Allen and Elizabeth Teresa are here!
He was 6 lbs, 20 inches, she was 4 lbs 9 oz, 19.5 inches.
    Here is their birth story:

My babies are here!!! After my visit to L & D on Monday, I came home and was not feeling well at all. At midnight I started having a very strange constant cramping feeling. I decided not to do anything about it until I knew for sure that something was going. At 6:30 am Tuesday, my water broke. We went to the hospital immediately because the painful painful contractions started about 10 minutes later. When I got there they checked and I was dialated to a 2-3 cms. They gave me an epidural almost right away, and I was feeling pretty good after that. I slept and tried to relax before the big push! They checked me at 1 pm and I was only dialated to 4 cm, and my contractions were irregular, so they gave me pitocin and then the contractions became regular. At 4 pm they checked and I was dialated to 9 cm and the baby was at +3 station, on his way out. At 5 pm they took me to the OR and thought it would be a fairly easy delivery. Well they thought wrong. I pushed with Will for over an hour but he was stuck with his head side ways. Finally he turned and came out, but was not acting normal when he came out, so he was whisked away to be evaluated. Little Ellie would not progress down so the doctor reached in (his whole arm...very strange feeling) and grabbed her. She was delivered breech. And she got stuck on the way out. He had to use foreceps to get her out. And I was not allowed to stop pushing with her, so I was pushing consistently for like 10 minutes. It was horrible. She did not really breath or cry when she came out but a few seconds later started screaming, so I knew she was ok. While I was being stitched up, the pediatrician told me that Will had a tear in one of his lungs and was going to the NICU. Of course I was so scared! They took Ellie too just to check her out. Ellie was released that night and came to us, but Will had to have a chest tube put in for a hole in his lung. I was taken back to my room and almost immediately got a horrible fever and was hemmorhaging. They could not stop me from bleeding and couldn't do an exam because I was in so much pain. So they put in a spinal block and took me back to the OR. While there they found that I had ripped in many more places that originally repaired. So they stitched me up. After that I felt SO much better.
The recovery has been rough but it gets better and better every day. Will no longer has his chest tube and is doing great. He will be in the NICU until Tuesday. Ellie came home with us today.
So I'm the proud mommy to 2 beautiful babies.
While my pregnancy and delivery were ****, it was SO worth it! They are the most precious babies ever!!

What a story. You've helped me realize that we can go through a lot in labor and still come out fine. Here I've been scared already. What an inspiration!

Oh my what a birth story and recovery. When I first saw the weights I thought Ellie would be the one in the NICU not Will. Get your rest while you have the one baby at home and hopefully Will be home soon!
