Wierd sensation - uterine spasms?

Every so often the past month or so I've been having the strangest sensations in my uterus. It's only strange in that they feel JUST LIKE the flutters from when I was 12 weeks pregnant. Tonight, I was sitting on my couch and my uterus started spasming and it felt just like when Chloe would move after 20 weeks pregnant. I could even see my skin moving up and down on the outside [IMG]. There is no way I could be pregnant - I have an IUD and I've been having my period regularly (very heavy, and coming earlier and earlier each time). I was having bad cramps a couple days ago and thought my period was coming, but not yet. I just got done with it two weeks ago.

What the heck is going on with my body??? Has anyone else had these wierd things happen almost a year after giving birth? Is it even remotely possible to be pregnant while having an IUD and getting regular periods?

I don't know about the regular periods part, but I do know someone who got pregnant with twins while she had an IUD. [IMG] I guess they aren't foolproof. I would probably have to find out if it were me. I couldn't stand not knowing. If you aren't pregnant, maybe you should check with your doctor. Maybe your body just doesn't like the IUD and it is causing spasms?

I don't know about the IUD, but I do have the spasms. And you are right, it feels just like baby flutters. I think that a lot of people experience this, and it's just bowels moving around. [IMG]

I get those feelings too, and yes, it does feel just like baby! It's gas moving through your intestines though. [IMG]

i am so glad you posted this- i have felt it before and actually saw my tummy kinda move a bit it was the WEIRDEST thing like an alien or something- but i bet we are all seriously rearranged in there after accomodating two babies. think of it- 20 toes and 20 fingers,. etc. WOW
that's quite a stretch job- putting back the pieces can't be easy, right? [IMG]
