I keep hearing that it’s smart to do small maintenance on appliances yourself, but I’m wondering why specialists stress this so much. I mean, most of the time everything seems fine, so it feels like overkill. I’ve had my fridge for years and only called for service once, but now I’m thinking maybe I should start a routine to keep it running longer.

I used to think the same way, but then my fridge started working harder and my energy bill went up. A friend suggested checking the coils, and sure enough, they were packed with dust. After I cleaned them, the fridge went back to normal. That’s when I realized why pros say maintenance matters. Guides like the one on https://thelakewoodscoop.com/news/how-to-clean-refrigerator-coils-and-why-its-a-wise-idea/ really help because they explain how small steps prevent bigger problems down the road.
