Why is she waking so often...?

Just need a sanity check. I know there are "phases" we have to go through with the LO's - especially when it relates to sleep. However this one is just driving me nuts!!!

DD1 was always a very restless sleeper - and thank goodness about a week ago started sleeping thru the night with maybe one wake-up. She also finds her binky herself so half the time even when she does wake, we don't need to go in. Wonderful!

DD2 **was** overall a better sleeper. I wouldn't call her a GREAT sleeper. She'd still wake up a few times, but in general she was less restless.

However just about the time DD1 started STTN - DD2 is now up almost every hour! It hasn't been this bad in months. She won't grab the binky herself (never has), she will talk to herself for a while, and if we don't go in to pop the binky in she'd be awake for a while. Starts at about 9:30pm every night (they go down about 7:30pm, but we've tried 8pm and 7pm - the time they go down doesn't seem to matter). Last night it was 9:30, 11:00, midnight, 1:30 (we took a break at 2:00 - yay?), 3:15, and 5:00. She might cry out a little but not loudly and not like she's in pain. Could it be teething? How long will this last? (If you can check your crystal ball, that'd be great, thanks!).

They will be 8 months old next week. Is this considered sleep regression?

Teething and illness always messed up with sleep schedules here. My dd was sleeping through the night (basically) at 8 weeks. But then she got a cold and was never the same after that. My guess would be teething.. Oh, and that never seems to stop! :( Are you feeding at night?

Nope. Dropped the midnight bottle at about 6 months. But they have good dinners and never seem super-hungry for the 6am bottle. So I don't think she's hungry...

G also sleeps worse during/after a cold. But she isn't sick right now...

Sounds like it could be teething. Our boys are usually up once or twice a night each, just for a binky or to be repositioned (get their head stuck in the corner of the crib or whatever). However, the day or two before they get another tooth, they do almost exactly what you are describing. Have you tried giving her tylenol to see if that helps?
