Why have they startef getting up early again?!

    Hi, ladies. My boys have gone from sleeping in until 7:30-7:45 to waking at 6:50 for the past week or two? Nothing has changed. They're in bed at 7:15, and they nap from 12:00-1:30ish. Any thoughts on why this is happening? I'd really love the extra hour of sleep. For those who follow HSHHC (it has always worked for us), do you have any suggestions? Does anyone else have any suggestions?

    Oh...btw, we've tried an ealier bedtime, and it doesn't change anything. We've also tried a later bedtime, and that doesn't stop the early waking either.

    Mine do this sometimes. They don't get up until at least 7:30 unless I have to take them with me to take the big kids to school. Sometimes one (usually dd) starts talking around 6:30. I just leave them. Most of the time the two boys sleep right through it! She'll do it for a few days then go back to sleeping til at least 7:15. Just stay consistent and they should go back to sleeping longer. GL!

    I think it must be the time of year of something. I'm having the same EXACT issues here. Let's hope it gets better soon....LOL

    I also think it's the time of year. The sun is getting up earlier and so are the kids! We darkened their rooms a little bit, and it seemed to help.

    My boys have been waking earlier too and I've been wondering what to do. They still take two naps though so I've thought of waking them earlier to not let them sleep as long during the day. I don't usually go and get them until their normal time though I like the idea of darkening the room, think I might try that. I don't know, but like you I need that extra sleep in the mornings.

    My older two went through a phase right around now where they started waking up way early. Now mine are doing that as well. I would kill for 650 though. Kenna is the earliest in our house right now getting up at 530-545. I HATE it!!! Can't wait for this phase to pass!

    Hope yours passes soon too!
