OK..here's my first suggestion - there should an exersaucer for two! Why not make a twin exersaucer...I would totally buy it!! :)

Now your ideas that need a patent...

I double stroller that is light, fits through doors, has storage and doesn't cost a million dollars.

I mean really - how hard could it be!

i'm on board for the exersaucer for 2! DH and I have actually talked about ways to market something like that.

i always said that about the exersaucers too. i put mine in the exersaucers at the same time and they have a ball laughing and playing w/ each other. they would have soooo much fun if they were closer in a twin exersaucer. imagine how big it would be!!

Back seats in a minivan that automatically rock when you are stopped at a traffic light or in traffic so your sleeping twins STAY ASLEEP. :yahoo:

I just said that about the twin exersaucer last night! You should go for it--multiples are a huge untapped market!

I want light infant car seats. I almost killed myself carrying them into a restaurant tonight. There has got to be a way to make them safe yet easier to carry (for the times carrying them can't be avoided).

Mine aren't really do-able...but a girl can dream.....

I want a burp machine! Something that will burp one twin while I continue to feed the other one.

DH wants to invent something that will hold the pacifier in their mouths!!!!!

  10. jennlynnmahan

    jennlynnmahan Well-Known Member

We actually have wished for a "pacifier holder" also especially when they were younger and would spit them right back out. DH and I discussed how there should be a way to tie the paci's to their head (maybe a bungee type cord around the back of the head). That kind of sounds terrible, doesn't it?

Not as terrible as DH's duct tape suggestion - LOL!!!!

How about all doors everywhere (restaurants, stores, doctor's offices, etc.) would open automatically with a special unviersal remote control that twin moms would have! I hate having to put one car seat down while opening a door and then trying to hold it open with my foot while I get both babies through. Same problem with the stroller.

Amen to that, sister! I was leaving an indoor playground yesterday, and this mom was standing right in front of the door. Do you think she opened the door? NO! She moved aside as if to say, "I'm going to graciously move my tookus so you can get by!" as I squeezed myself forward to get the girls through the door.

I invented one in my head I've posted about before... I "twinsert" that inserts into grocery carts to make fitting two in there safe and manageable.

I guess all husbands want a "paci holder". LOL.

I want a carseat that you can nurse your baby while in the carseat, comfortably. Can you imagine how much nicer trips would be if you could scoot to the back and nurse? With our first child, I straddled the carseat to nurse across the back. We were stuck in a traffic jam and the lane to my right got a terrific view of my butt, and the lane to the left got a terrific view of my breast!

I've also toyed with the idea of a double exersaucer.

I think that they should make more clothes, and cards etc that say stuff about twins... everything is PRICEY!

Not to be a downer but I actually heard a news story last week about a 10 day old baby dieing from suffocation when her mom taped her paci in!! Maybe I will look for the link later today.

BUT I totally agree something should be made to safely hold in a paci. My friend said in the NICU where her babies were they used the nose "sucker" and put it in the end of a soothie paci to prop it in!

I also second the double exasaucer idea!!

I think a double swing would be great. My house was really small and we just didn't have room for two swings...a double swing would be quite a bit larger than a single but not near as big as two separate swings. Make them side by side but facing opposite ways so they could each still recline.

And I know it would be heavy but a double infant carrier carseat would be great. You have to carry the same amount of weight anyways, but you would only have to snap in one base.....probably not practical but just a weird thought.

    Both of these!

Also, a type of batteries that never, ever die -- or a bouncy seat that runs on some kind of a perpetual motion machine. Because even if you have rechargeable batteries, the vibration thingy always dies in the middle of the night right when you're desperate to get that baby back to sleep!

I also agree with the universal door opener.

I would also love if there were the following (I'm going to try to describe it the best I can):

A sort of wax paper/saran wrap type material that adheres to the tray of the high chair. When you press down with the palms of your hands you can smooth it out . Then after they eat, you just pick it up and all the crumbs and mess stays in the plastic and it goes right into the garbage and no more washing of the trays!

Oh and how about a monitor that when they baby cries, the reciever translates it into some sort of beautiful singing sound or bird chirping. There's just nothing more harsh than hearing the babies cry through a monitor!

Try Glad Press-n-seal wrap. In the saran wrap aisle. My kids, older than yours, just pull it up though.

an "adapter" that a nursing mother could put over her nipples (one would be needed for each child)........like a bottle nipple that the hollow part goes over the moms nipple, with a long clear tube attached, that is long enough to get to the back seat childrens mouths, and connects to a pacifier type nipple that as the child sucks on on gets the breastmilk from mom straight to the babies.

Kind of like a hands free podee bottle only instead of getting the milk from the bottle, the milk comes straight from the mom.

This item would not have to be only for moms of multiples.........I have done the dangle (as hubby calls it) more times than I care to admit......me nursing a baby while dangling over the baby in his carseat.

A twin "bed topper". Something that was light and compact to transport, that would spring open for you to set on top of a regular bed (or on the floor). It would have two compartments (one for each baby) and sides high enough that they could not roll or crawl out. I mean, really, how are you supposed to take two pack n'plays on vacation!

Dh and I have been trolling the internet trying desperately to find some type of of light, compact bed for our boys. It does NOT exist <_< .

    Man would I buy that!!!!!!

For me - this is an easy one to - WIDER AISLES AT GYMBOREE OR ANY MALL TYPE STORE!!! I hate shopping at the mall and not getting the twins between the racks. The stroller is great - but the racks are so close together! I really feal for those who are handicapped and have to get through those aisles everyday!
