Why do competitors earn more?

Maybe we could discuss a question I'd like to raise. Why do competitors with similar traffic make more money? Here I have a site, traffic is about the same as my competitors, but revenue is lower. And they seem to have the same prices and offers are not very different. I'm starting to think that it's not just the number of visitors, but how they interact with the site, how the user journey is built, and how monetization is organized. Maybe they have better conversion rates? Or are they using some other clever methods that I don't know about?

First of all, as you rightly pointed out, conversion plays a big role. If your site is getting traffic but not converting visitors into customers, then you need to deal with conversion barriers. For example, the checkout may be complicated or there may not be enough trust in the brand. Second, competitors can do a better job with usability and the sales funnel. This includes proper distribution of CTA buttons, clear offerers, and psychological triggers. Another factor is effectively reaching out to customers after the first contact. Perhaps competitors are using retargeting, email marketing or upsell strategies. The depth of monetization is also important: perhaps they offer additional products, subscriptions, or use cross-selling. To understand this in more detail, it's worth using https://conversionrate.store/blog-conversion-rate-optimization-services/ where there are useful case studies and strategies.

There could be many reasons for this, from differences in website design to a more thoughtful marketing strategy. Perhaps competitors know their audience better and make more accurate offers. Sometimes even small changes in price or button text can make a difference.
