Why are they so cranky?

My girls are so "high maintenance" lately. They seem to be getting cranky so quickly at the littlest things. They usually enjoy playing on the rug with toys but today they just keep fussing. I put them in their exersaucers and that wasn't good either. They are impatient too. They get fussy when I change their clothes and diapers. Is it just one of those days?

I think my boys are having one of those days as well. Crankiness seems to be catchy at our house, because my other dd seems moved to tears at everything, and my ds has been on the steps for time out 3 times already. I just want everyone to go back to bed and start over (wouldn't it be nice if we could do that), but instead I'll ignore some whining and chat on the computer.

Mine are that way too. They normally love to play under their little gym. Now they both scream when I put them there. My DD has been particularly whiny . . . UGH! I hope it is a short phase!

I wonder if they are frustrated because they want to be more mobile? They are scooting around a lot nowadays but maybe they want to do more than they are capable of and the rug with toys just isn't cutting it anymore?

Are they teething yet? Mine get like that when they are cutting a new tooth. They cut their bottom teeth in Sept and then waited 3 months to cut their top teeth now they are cutting a new tooth every 2 weeks. They have a total of 8 each and I cant wait for it to be over!

Mine are definitly starting to get frustrated that they aren't more mobile. Especially when they are playing on the rug. The only other thing I can think of is sleep. When and how long are they napping?

Yep, I was going to say they are probably frustrated because they can't move around much... once mine started sitting up, that made playtime much more fun for them. They became less cranky.

Now I'm not sure if it's just boredom and frustration because they were up all night last night. Maybe this is teething? They look like they are each cutting a tooth on the bottom so maybe that is it. I'll see in a few weeks! It'll be the first tooth so next I'll know what to expect.
