Whoo Hoo! 1 year of Nursing!

Well, we made it a whole year! Although I had some supply issues, etc. and supplemented some, I'm so glad I had the support of you ladies here because otherwise we would have given up long ago. Within the last week or so the girls have gone from 6 nursing sessions a day to just 4. I've offered at the normal times but they just don't want it. Is this normal? I can't remember how I did things with DD1, but I was probably down to about 4 times a day with her at a year as well. But I think more because that's what "everyone" said to do. Should I keep trying at the other times...I think my supply has already adjusted to the 4 times per day.

Thanks again for the wonderful support you've all been to me! I'm not sure how long we'll continue nursing. Weaning would most likely happen for the following reasons: big 5 week trip this summer; my own health (I've really struggled in some different areas). For now we'll just keep things as they are, I guess.

4 nursing sessions a day sounds fine - I think that's pretty common at that age. (We actually nurse a TON, like 7-8x/day, but I think that's pretty unusual at this age.) As you know, if they're not interested, they are NOT interested! I'd just follow their cues. They might want extra one day and less another.
