I would like to strangle them? :D And why do they have to go around every piece of every part in every box? :umm: Do they not know that when a parent buys a toy and wants to give it to their child or children in the car that it takes them 5 minutes and 10 curse words later to finally get the darn thing out of the box. Okay thanks for letting me vent about those stupids little plastic, metal, twisty, thingys :p

Someone who is very sadistic. Can't you picture them laughing at all of us fools fighting with them as we open up the toys?

I have 2 words for you - wire cutters. We had N&M's party on Saturday at my IL's. I was rummaging to find some heavy duty scissors and came across the wire cutters. They worked beautifully. I was able to get the toys loose from the packaging in seconds flat. I'm going to buy myself a really nice pair for Christmas.

Oh, those ties... the Little People sets are brutal.

The only thing worse than the twist ties are the snap-in discs. Have you seen these yet? They are like a giant plastic thumb tack with a gap in the middle of the prong and a wide tip so it snaps securely into place and won't back out. You need a freaking crowbar to get the toy loose from the cardboard packaging. Our kiddie computer had two of these things (as well as some twist ties) and I was terrified I was going to break the toy before I got it out of the box.

I second the wire snips. It's the only way we have survived Christmas in the house. Instead of wrestling those twisty tie things out, snip, snip, done! The only thing I hate more than those things are the plastic pieces that get sewn into barbie's hair to keep it all pretty in the box.

I have a picture of Audrey holding on to the doll that is still attached to the box as her aunt tries to untangle them. It was priceless. I hate those things too!

I hate those things too. i really dont understand why they are even used when the toy is in a box. I just had the twins 3rd b-day party this past saturday and it was just horriblegetting the toys out of the boxes and on top of that they sew plastic piece into dolls hair now. The ones I hagte the most is when you have to use a screw drivier to unscrew a toy from the box!
