I'm just curious, I feel as though these twins will never arrive. LOL! Although I've enjoyed my pregnancy tons, I'm getting SO huge in the belly it hurts now.

I'm starting to joke around and say things like my body must be having some phantom twin pregnancy, or my body forgot it's pregnant and needs a reminder or something. LOL! People at dh's work are questioning whether he's even married, lol!!! I guess you have to have a sense of humor to go so long with twins, right?

So, how many of you made it past 37 weeks? I feel like there's not a whole lot of us around!

I made it to 37wks & 5 days - and I was induced, because I seriously couldn't take it anymore, and the babies weight seemed good (7lbs & 5lbs 14oz). I think had they left me alone, i would have gone easily to 39 or 40wks! I was so uncomfortable by the time they induced me, my stomach was huge, itchy and I couldn't sleep in any position.

Made it to me scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. I thought it was awful, but after reading a lot of stories on TS, I am very thankful.

Your babies will be here soon! :hug99:

38+1 here. I had to have my water broken for labor to even progress. I would have kept going... but baby b dropped off of his growth curve, so I was induced. I'm so glad to have made it that far. You're doing great!!

I had a scheduled csection at 37w5d. Baby A was breech & I was 4cm dilated. I was in & out of preterm labor from 31 wks on & was finally let off bedrest at 36 wks. Of course, then the babies had no desire to come! I still contracted every 8-10 mins, but didn't progress, so I probably would've been pregnant for FOREVER ;).....

38 weeks on the nose for us, and I went into labor spontaneously (well, we did a lot of things to help that along, but no doctors were involved). You are SOOOO close.

I was induced at 37 weeks 6 days. My doc would have waited until 39 but my bp was creeping up. I'm glad they didn't wait, I remember being soooooooooooo uncomfortable!!!!

38 weeks and 1 day here. I was induced--thank goodness. My OB was going to let me go to 39 weeks; but my perinatologist wanted them delivered at 38 weeks because of their size difference--so I got a reprieve. Hang in there, mommy--you're doing great; and your babies will be at an advantage for having stayed put for so long. They'll be here soon!!!

I had a schedules c/s at 39 weeks 4 days, I'm actually wondering how long I would have held out if it were not scheduled!

I made it to 38 + 3. It felt like it was never going to end. I couldnt wait for the pregnancy to end.. I was walking up and down hills and vaccuuming everyday. we were also "doing the deed" But nothing worked until there was a full moon!!

I was scheduled to be induced at 38 weeks, and my water broke at 37 weeks and 3 days. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! :) I know I was so miserable at the end of my pregnancy that the c-section and recovery seemed like a cakewalk!

I made it to 38 weeks and 3 days! I was on bedrest for 10 weeks and when they let me up at 36 weeks, they expected me tp go right away. Obviously, that didn't happen!
    Hang in there!

    38+4 for me....
I remember being soooo discouraged and feeling like they were never coming out! I was like some of the others and vaccumed like every day! LOL
I finally said I needed to be induced... the day I went in to be induced, they checked me when I got there and I was already dilated to 6cm and my girls were born 2 hours later.
and I agree with you - the comments get REALLY OLD... fast! I remember towards the end, I didn't even want to go to church becuase I knew I'd get the comments of "your still here?!??!"
But, carrying them so long was worth it in the end... they were 8lb 2oz and 7lb2oz :)

Schedules C-section at 38 weeks. Hang in there. The longer they can stay in your tummy the better.

I wasn't getting too anxious until about 35 weeks, then my husband starting quoting the movie Madagascar and "how long is this going to take?"

I was 3 cm dilated and 90% effaced at 34 weeks. My OB thought I'd go that week or the next. But nope! At my 36 week apt. I scheduled an induction for 38 weeks, but my water broke at 37 and 4 days! :)

I went 38 weeks and 1 day. We had a scheduled c-section since the docs did not want me to go any longer and baby A was breech and not going anywhere. The babies had no desire to get out of the womb, so the joke in the family is that they were evicted out of the womb!

I was scheduled for a c-section at 38 weeks, but was delivered by c-section the day before because I had been having strong contractions all weekend (spent Mother's Day weekend in hospital). Both were breech. You can do it. You are almost there. Great job for making it so far!!!

I had a scheduled c-section at 37 weeks 4 days. My OB doesn't like twins to go past 38 weeks. Good luck!

Exactly the same here. I thought my water broke so I went to the hospital. Turns out I just peed my pants :FIFblush: Since I was already there and 37.5 wks along, they just went ahead and induced me. I probably could have carried them longer.

38 weeks exactly for us, planned C. Who knows when they would have come on their own :)
ETA: I know you know this, but it is so worth the discomfort of making it so far. My babies were champion breastfeeders (still are) and have been perfectly healthy. Just a week or two can make a difference, I've heard, particularly with feeding. So huge congrats to you for making it this far. Hang in there!! You're almost there :)

Scheduled c-section at exactly 38 weeks. I was developing pre-e and I wasn't dilated at all, and quite frankly I was so painful due to a separated pelvis that I couldn't take it anymore. Everyone is so surprised when they hear how big they were, many assume they were pre-mature.
