Who else is around 32 weeks? (give or take a week :))

Since I am surrounded by women who are pregnant with or have just given birth to singletons (my sister, my next-door neighbor, my best friend, and a bunch more), I wanted to compare notes with other twin-moms to see how you're feeling right around 32 weeks.

    As for me ...
I'm measuring 40w (as of yesterday)
I'm up 44 lbs. (Following Dr. Luke's diet and weight-gain guidelines)
Doing pretty well pregnancy-wise in terms of blood pressure, cervix hanging in there, babies doing well, etc.
No swelling yet (except maybe my fingers a little; I had to stop wearing my wedding and e-ring a few weeks ago)
I usually feel fine when I'm sitting down. ;)
Rolling over in bed (especially with all those pillows ;)) or even getting up from the recliner have become major undertakings.
I get winded REALLY easily--just from slowly walking up a flight of stairs, or unloading the dishwasher--stuff like that.
If I do something as "demanding" as making dinner or maybe 10 minutes of tidying up, I have to sit down and rest.
I get lightheaded if I stand up (or even start and stop a lot, like when shopping) for very long. I can easily reach a point where I feel like I'm going to faint if I don't sit down right away.
Recently started having Braxton Hicks pretty often--maybe once or twice an hour.
I've always been a very fast walker but now DH leaves me in the dust if he's not paying attention. If I try to walk at my normal pace, I start contracting and again, get out of breath really fast.
Baby A's head is RIGHT on my bladder, so I'm peeing about 2-3 times as often as when non-pregnant.
Sleep is hit or miss; I usually wake up once at night to go to the bathroom and it often takes me a couple hours to fall back to sleep. If I wake up at all after 4 or 5 a.m., I often have to just get up and get breakfast because I'll feel like I'm STARVING (despite having a bedtime snack).

What about the rest of you 31-33-weekers? How's it going at this point? And how do you answer the question, "How are you feeling?" which I'm sure we all get asked all the time. ;) I feel like that's all relative. ;)

I'm 31w today. I don't have alot of complaints though I feel as if I should. I'm dialated already but I'm not worried. I think I peed 4 times last night and it took me awhile to get back to sleep. Getting to sleep is a pain in the rear- when you have to move to pee the night just become a blur.

I've gained 34 lbs? I don't know my measurements, I go back on Wed to the OB. They are both active and kicking and with a one year old at home...I get tired easily! Soon they will be here though!!

My daughter is 31 weeks today. When people ask her how she is she says "tired". She measured 37 weeks last week (she was 30 weeks along at the time). She has gained 23 lbs, and people tell her that she doesn't even look pregnant....let alone with twins, which she gets sick of hearing. I've told her people mean it as a compliment but she says she has heard it a million times, and I told her that the people don't realize that she's heard it the other 999,999 times before. The doctor has taken her off work about 3 weeks ago, and she was having lots of braxton hicks before going off work. I think she still has occasional ones, and today she is saying her back is really hurting. Her baby A is sitting right on her cervix, and both boys are head down. She goes back to the doctor tomorrow, so I'll post any revisions or corrections......haha. Best of luck with your pregnancy, and BTW....she's having two boys as well. Yay for boys!

I also wanted to add that her Baby A is 3 lbs. 3 oz. and Baby B is 3 lbs. 4 oz. last Wed.

I'm 34 weeks going on 35 soon, but was taken off work at 33 weeks or so. When I was ard ur number of weeks, I was having difficulty getting on and off the bed, recliner, dining chair etc. Also, my feet was so swollen its painful jus to walk to the loo, so I'm walking like a snail now, and I can't wait till my bladder's too full cos I won't make it in time! :D hubby has to walk at my pace back then, but now it doesn't matter anymore cos I'm homebound anyway. You're realli lucky, my wedding band and proposal ring had to come off when I was ard 25 weeks.

When ppl ask me how I'm feeling (and yes, we do get that alot, don't we?), I'll jus say 'big' and give them a grin  and walk away. If ppl comments that I look small and certainly doesn't look like I"m carrying twins, I'd always ask them,'have you had twins before?' That should shut them up...hehehe...

    Hey
Im 31 weeks and just about agree with everything! :D
I would add the horrible back pain! I already had back problems but right now I really feel like my back just can't take anymore.
Im up about 21-22 lbs but really didn't need to put on to much so the doc is happy with that.
Emotionally Im starting to fall apart a little. There are days when I start crying becasue I just can't picture duing this anymore. But, Im hanging in there.
I do not look forward to going to bed at night becuase it is just the start of another round of night time pain and frustration.
All these things I know are to be expected so I do my best to laugh about it.
I just keep 36 in my head. My hope is to make it to a healthy 36 wks and see from there. That's only 5 weeks from now, Ive done this for 31 wks so should be a wake in the park!
After having 2 other kids, I don't think there is anyway you can compare pregnancy, but that's just me. Ive read some posts here where some women find if just the same or easier? We are all different and our bodies will handle this differently.
Just remember, in a couple for months we will have a hole other list of things to worry about

I will be 32 weeks tomorrow :) I have been on bedrest since 10/6 :( but was told i can get off of bedrest at 35 weeks! So that is something to look forward too! I am dilated to 1 cm and 70% effaced as of 11/18. I get braxton hicks daily as well as real contractions. I have cramps and back pain that comes and goes. Sleeping has been an issue for a while and I am finally getting hungry! I have acid reflux so have to take pepcid ac every 12 hours or I am in serious pain! I am measuring 37 weeks but the babies are growing as they are supposed to so I am not too concerned. Walking is an event (if you call it a walk more of a waddle) and standing hurts my pelvic bones as the babies are low. I dont know what to say to people when they ask how I am feeling. I just say, ok. Are they really wanting to hear all of my aches and pains? People with singletons try to give me their aches and pains stories and Im like....u have no idea! I will be sooo happy when I deliver!

Yeah, I spend most of my time in one of our recliners. Fortunately, our couch and loveseat all recline, and we also have a recliner in the reading room and one upstairs in the office, so at least I have plenty of options! ;) I find I have to use a lumbar support pillow in our cushier recliners though or my back starts to hurt.

Amber went to the doctor today....and the dr was late due to a birth at the hospital, so she just had a "quickie" appointment....did her blood work, and urine sample, and just measured her realy quickly and listened to the babies heartbeats. She didn't even find out what she was measuring today. All she knew was that baby b's heartrate was a little higher than baby a......but nothing to worry about. She will go back next Wednesday. Dr. wants her to at least make it to 34 weeks.

I'm with you guys. Only, I've managed to get a cold, a UTI, AND a sinus infection. And I've NEVER had a UTI or Sinus infection before and am allergic to alot of antibiotics..... *sigh*. So I'm feeling HORRIBLE.

My biggest complaint is that I can't breathe/eat. I've had a stuffy pregnancy nose the whole time along with the nose bleeds. But now, it's so bad I can't eat more than two bites at a time. My OB says I'm to the "only an incubator" point. So I'm pushing the water and protein shakes along with lots of suppliments and just hoping we can make it.

I've gained the full 40, so I'm done as far as weight gain, even though the boys still have more to gain. We find out today how much more they need to gain.

And the contractions..... I'm just worried that the Terb will stop working! :)

Of course, the numbers that are more difficult for me are:
Number of pants that fit = 2
Pairs of shoes that fit = 2 (and 1 is sandles)
Number of bras that fit = 0 without MASSIVE extenders since both heads are in my ribs!
Last time I could put on my own socks = at least two weeks ago
Last time I could shave my own legs = at least two weeks ago
Last time I "walked" and not "waddled" = at least a week ago

Of course, I like to be independent, so it's really hard on me. I had to give up driving at 16 weeks and have been on and off bedrest, so it's frustrating! Thankfully, we have a roommate who is AWESOME and is our live-in doula. That makes it a lot better. Except I've given her my cold. :(

Off to the peri... then I'll have new weights for the boys! :)

I´m not dilated because I have a cerclage and it still holds tight, I´ll know if I´m effaced next week after my u/s. I´m not quite sure but I think My Dr. doesn´t expect me to make it past Christmas because the amniotic fluid around the babies is still in the normal range, but it has been decreasing and there seems to be very little space for them, the more they move, the more contractions I get because of my irritable uterus...HTH
