I'm looking into buying a white noise machine or a white noise cd, does anyone have any recomendations?

My b/g twins are 4.5 months old and have NEVER had sleeping issues but recently my DD has started waking up after 30-45 minutes of her nap (she has always done this but I used to be able to go in re-insert the paci and she'd go right back to sleep) NOW she will NOT go back to sleep unless in my arms and I REALLY don't want to get into that habit (both b/c I can't maintain that and b/c its not a truly restfull sleep for her)

Anyway.... I'm hoping that maybe a white noise machine/cd would help her not wake up or go back to sleep-- so if you ahve any suggestions that'd be great...

ps I'm hoping not to spend more than $20(ish) dollars

We have a Sleep Sheep jr. by cloud b and I love it! It's small enough to take with you whereever you go and it has a velcro strap so you can attach it to stroller, car sest, etc. It runs on batteries, which helps if you son't have a plug nearby. I think it cot 25$, can't remember, but google it. Good luck!

We have been using the small noise maker that is on our graco pnp with success so far. we do have a white noise machine too, and will eventually use that. One other thing that I found this weekend is the Rockabye Baby records. My plan is do down load a bunch to my mp3 player as I would much rather listen to a baby song that was originally a song that I liked, rather that hours and hours of 'Wheels on the bus"....

I am in no way affiliated with this company, I just thought their U2 and Bob Marley cds were awesome....

We use a box fan turned on high facing the wall. Cheap and works like a charm! Good Luck!

How funny! My sister JUST sent me a link to this last week. Some of the songs sounds really nice. I like the cure and U2! Some sounds a little creepy- bob marley.

To the OP, for white noise we just use the humidifier in their room.

We have the Dex multi-sound machine. Love that we can have so many options of sounds. (i.e. white noise, ocean, womb, rain, wind, birds, bouys, summertime (My favorite one to listen to on the monitor at night),etc. There are a few more sounds but I am not risking the moment of waking them to go check. We love it! Can't seem to put them to bed without it, even though they probably wouldn't care... I have a friend who has a white noise machine and swears by it, I opted for having a variety of sounds to expose them to.

We have this one from Bed Bath and Beyond in each of the twins' rooms. Works great, and you can use a BBB coupon for it. :)
