Hi! One of our boys (22mnth) has been half waking the last few nights. We thought if was because he was dropping his binkie...but this is new. He takes a nap at11ish...wakes about 1-2...than goes to bed between 630-7, which he goes right to sleep.

Du wants to go in everytime...I kind of want to let him work it out, I would lo e to get rid of the binkie!

    Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Is your DS going right back to sleep after half waking? I would say if he is going back to sleep quickly, I wouldn't go in. Is it possible that he is starting on his 2nd year molars? That could also be causing night waking. If it's not teething, I agree with you in letting him work it out.

Thanks Nancy...last night he did work it out...the other nights he just esculated to the point du was worried about keeping our other son up, which honestly, he doesn't seem to care. HahA. They are getting their molars...maybe for the next night or two we should proactivly give them ibprofin...thanks again!

One of my twins has done this off and on since they were babies and I usually let him work it out. I listen and if it lasts longer than usual, I go in and tuck him back in. With mine, he has bad dreams. My twins also have always shared a room and they don't wake each other up!

When my guys wake up, I never go in unless it escalates to crying. Even then I sometimes give it a few minutes; Jack has been known to wake up crying, give a few sobs, then go right back to sleep. :pardon: Last night Jack woke up crying and I had to go in there because he didn't calm down after about 5 minutes and Nate never stirred. I can't see how you can have your brother screaming in your ear for 5 minutes and not wake up, but they usually manage it!

I think Nate is getting his second year molars too. He's chewing on his hands like crazy and acting a fool. These have been the worst teeth so far!

My boys have been doing this for what seems like forever lol We go in, like pp, if it gets to the point that they're crying and NEED their nuk. They just cut the top two 1yr molars and we're waiting for the bottom two on each boy to come through. Then... hopefully they'll be healthy and start sleeping through the night again

I also try to wait for the fussing to turn into crying. But I do usually end up going in because we keep our house pretty cool at night, and they need their blankets or they get chilly :)

I have one son who has been doing this alot lately, even waking early from naps...he is teething now, so we figure that is what is going on...hoping these 2nd yr molars come in quickly so it will pass :)
I usually just watch him on the baby monitor to see how uncomfy or frustrated he is before going to him, if he just wakes himself up (maybe dreaming) and then falls back to sleep then it was a good nite..
