I'm only 17 weeks pregnant and already I'm getting hip pain from sleeping on my left side! I sometimes get nauseous sleeping on my right side and I've read that I shouldn't be sleeping on my back and obviously the tummy is out...I try sleeping propped up but I can only sleep like that for so long...what are all of you doing? I can't see having this trouble for the rest of the pregnancy!! It's so early! UGGHHHH!!

The only way I sleep once my hips start to hurt is just change sides often. I also use a lot of tylenol PM. Hope you can get some sleep.

Sleeping on your back is only a problem if you feel like you can't breathe when laying down. If it doesn't bother you, there is nothing wrong with it. I slept on my back during my twin pregnancy... Hope you can find some comfort!

I just switch from side to side when my hip starts to hurt. Laying on my back hurts too much. Sometimes I will try laying on my back and propping one side up a little so I am not flat on my back and that gives my hips a little relief. But is sounds like you have tried everything I already do, so good luck and I hope it gets better for you.

I kind of sleep psuedo-tummy. Kind of a mixture between tummy (as much as I can be on it) and side. Sometimes if I put my top knee up on a pillow or keep it elevated somehow it is good too. Good luck! Sleeping sucks late in pregnancy!

I sleep on my side. Its really geting uncomfortable but I refuse to sleep sitting up, I did it from 20 weeks on with my twins and it was the worst sleep of my life. I sleep with 4 pillows, 2 under my head, one between my knees and I have one that I hold on to so I dont sleep on my hands. Its quite the chore to turn over, which I am doing alot, but I am still sleeping in my bed and that makes me happy. Have you tried a pregnancy pillow, I have seen some great ones and even saw some on craiglist. They might help you if you can afford the price! Hope you find some comfort soon.
