When the girls were born I was told Gretchyn (baby b ) would probably be a little behind Geneva developmentally because she had a lot more problems to start with. It has actually worked out that way. Geneva started rolling both directions 1st by a week or two and Geneva appears to be on the verge of crawling, while Gretchyn seems pretty content just hanging out in one place.

I'm curious how this worked for everyone else. Who started rolling and crawling 1st, and was the one that did it later the one that had more problems?

*This is my 1st poll, so I hope I did it right.

I meant to put this in FY. Sorry, can someone move it please.

I voted that neither of them had problems - but Baby A (who rolled and crawled first) did have one afternoon where her temp wasn't as high as they would like. But I don't really consider that a problem.

Baby A did both activities first and neither have had any medical issues.

Baby A did MOST things first, including those you mentioned, but baby B walked first by about 3 weeks!

James (baby a) rolled and crawled first, Sean did have problems at birth (putting it mildly).

I have to say, it's been a complete turn taking on reaching milestones for my girls. I swear they must say to each other "you get this one, I'll get the next."

    Arwen is baby A
    Lorien is baby B

Here is who has reached what first:

    lifting the head baby A
    rolling over baby B
    sitting up unassisted baby A
    crawling baby B
    walking baby A

We were sure that Lorien would start walking first since she started crawling first. She always wanted us to hold her hands so she could walk and Arwen didn't show as much interest in it. She seemed content just crawling around and low and behold she is the walker!!! It's really unbelievable! I'm kind of happy though that they are taking turns. It's exciting wondering who will do what first.

I have to say that Arwen (baby A) had a lot more issues in the beginning but that was completely due to her reflux. Sad thing is that Lorien also ended up getting reflux about 2 months after Arwen but she got it 1000 times worse!

My baby A (Genevieve) has been rolling back to front for a couple weeks. McKenna has no interest in trying. Neither is crawling yet, but I answered Baby A in the poll, because that is what I expect. McKenna had more problems at birth, but neither had tons of problems. McKenna was on the C-Pap for one night and then they were both great. Funny, but I never thought about it being and A /B thing. Hmm, interesting!

It seems as though Evan (B ) is ahead of Cameron (A) developmentally. He figured out how to roll both ways first and he started rocking first. Neither one actually crawl yet, but Evan puts his legs underneath him and lunges forward where Cameron will rock for a while and then start crying because he isn't going anywhere. Evan has also started pushing himself up from his belly into a semi-sitting position resting on one arm. Cameron hasn't even attempted to do this.

Neither one of them had any real "problems", but Evan required some assistance breathing the first day and had his feeding tube in longer.

Baby B (Jessica) did everything 1st. She would spend days/weeks trying and would finally get there, then about a week later Baby A (Jorja), would just do it. Ithink jessica did the work for both of them

With walking Jessica (B), walked at 10 months, but she'd spent few weeks before going around furniture falling etc.. Jorja (A), just got up one day and began walking at 13 months

Who did wot 1st makes no difference to them now, we have had no problems..

My baby B (Ben) has been the one who does things 1st. He's my "little guy" but has always been very, very determined. :D

My baby B definitely had the harder NICU course, and is slower to meet milestones than my baby A, who met milestones at or even before what was expected for full termers.

But, strangely enough, baby B did roll first.

Mia, Baby B, started rolling at the same time as Jacob, but quickly progressed to rolling a lot and rolling both ways. So I voted Baby B for rolling. Mia definitely started crawling before Jacob. He just now is army crawling. He prefers to scooch on his butt to get around. Jacob was smaller than Mia so he had to stay in the Nicu just a couple of days longer so I voted Baby A for the one with problems. But really, he didn't have anything major.

Mine take turns with the milestones. It's purely coincidence that the same boy (A) did these two things first. They've always been very close with when they do things for the first time. Neither of them had any medical issues.

Neither girls had any problems at birth...very healthy. I always thought Rachel, baby A, would do everything first and be more active because she picked her head up easier than Rebekah, baby B, did. She was always more active in utero and right after birth. (Rebekah's head is much bigger than Rachel's also.) I was so wrong! Rebekah did everything first, rolling and sitting up. Also, she's not crawling yet, but lunging forward, and Rachel is just content to either lay or sit wherever she is! How funny!

both my girls were healthy, no problems at birth. Baby B (McKenna) has done most things first. Usually about 2 wks ahead of Baby A (Macy).
I am not surprised at all by this. When I was pg, McKenna would flip head up, head down, head up, etc....and even the day they were born, that morning on the ultrasound she was laying transverse across the top of my uterus with her head on Macy's side. She got into this position over night. Macy on the other hand went head down around 22 wks and stayed that way until birth. So like I said, I am not surprised that McKenna is the more rambunctious/eager of the two. She walked at 8 1/2 months. Macy at 9 months.
