    Hello everyone,

I have received such great advice from you all and now I am seeking it once again. My girls are 7 months old and will probably only be able to stay in their infant car seats for another month. We have the Graco SnugRide now. Should we go with the Graco again, or do we need to spend the $$$$$ on a Britax or something else??? So:

Which convertible car seat do you recommend and why?

BTW, I have a Ford Explorer and right now I have their car seats beside each other (one behind the passender seat and one in the middle so I can get to both of them).

    Thanks so much everyone!

We have the Evenflo Triumph and love them. One we have had for 2 years for ds. The kids seem to be pretty comfy in them. We bought this last one on ebay...brand new, still in a box for around 90 which included shipping. in the store we paid around 120 for it

I just ordered britax marathon and will be putting them in my car on friday (I will miss the snap and Go so much!!!)

I only researched britiax. I looked at the Marathon, Decathlon and Boulevard. The Decathlon hasa removable extra padding that seems to be really appropriate if you are going to put a baby in there almost from the get go. Without the removable padding, it is basically a Marathon. The Boulevard is the most expensive of the three and they say is good for side impact (so are the other 2 though). I heard with the Boulevard, kids have a hard time seeing out the window. After many posts0 here, the Marathon was mentioned often.
I ordered from elitecarseats.com and got free shipping and a twin discount

I just ordered two Britax Marathons. I got a lot of recommendations from others. I'm excited about getting out of the infant carriers. I ordered mine from tinyride.com . . . no tax and no shipping. The elitecarseats may be a better deal . . . I don't know.

Britax Marathon. My oldest is in one already, and I already have another one for the twins in my friend's car who's bringing her to school. My oldest is 95% for everything so in that case the Marathon is really good since the slot heights are 17" (the highest except the Britax Regent), and at 2 years 9 months, she's already using them. So definitely something to consider when you have a taller child, or want to use it for quite a while.

Check http://www.carseatdata.org/measurements.php?tun=home to see measurements of the different seats (and much more).

I like the Britax because they are consistently highly ranked in safety and they were designed with a 70mph crash test speed in mind. We have the Roundabouts.
