I have a friend who is expecting boy/girl twins & she's not sure which colours to buy. Should she stick to white or pink and blue?

What did other Mums of twins do & is it easier to just have white babygrows etc or pink & blue?

I'd go with pink & blue!

I am not into these neutral colors at all. So I have a pink side for my girl and a blue side for my boy with a white base. I figured once they go their own rooms (need a new house first), they'll have their stuff to take non-neutral color, instead of me buying new stuff all over again.

We did pink, blue and purple to tie them together. I think it looks way nicer than beige [IMG]
We used this furniture from Ikea, they'll be able to use it for a while and they have matching toddler beds. I hope i remember to buy them before it's discontinued!!

My stepmom made our bedding. DD's is pink, yellow, green, and white. DS's is the same pattern with blue, yellow, green, and white. They have all of the colors in circles for the bumpers with stripes of the same colors for the bedskirt. We used a green and white polka dot for the ties, curtains, etc. to tie them both together. The walls are painted yellow. I absolutely love their nursery.

I painted my babies room a light green, they both have white cribs and then his bedding is green and white, with some blue accents, and hers is pink white and green. I used the green to tie it all together.

They each have their own colors here-pink bedding and blue bledding eventhough they share cribs still. We just rotate them back and forth from crib to crib together.

we have sage green walls and used the Zanzibar bedding (jungle animals). pretty gender and age neutral.they'll be sharing at least for awhile- likely until we move (god knows when that will be!)
of course, their clothes are mainly blue and pink/purple!

Do any of you dress them in unisex colours (white etc) or pink and blue? I've heard that white is best for the first month because it makes the washing is made easier. What do others think?

I'm not sure if you're talking about furniture, bedding, or clothes?

For furniture, I found stuff in a nice nuetral pine. It's pretty! Bedding, I got separate for each. A very boyish blue train bedding & a girly ladybug bedding.

    pic of cribs

For their clothes, I didn't buy anything neutral. [IMG] It's blue and pink all the way! I didn't have any problems with washing....especially for the first couple months, the blue and pink shades they make newborn clothing is pretty light so I could wash just about everything together & not worry about color bleeding.

I meant the colours of the clothes. I didn't realise that it's ok to wash pink & blue together. My friend will be really pleased about that.

I don't do unisex colors, its such a blur the first few months you have such sleep deprivation that I need the colors to tell them apart lol

Our nursery is painted a pretty yellow and a light celery green...with a white chair rail separating the two colors. The cribs are a light wood and the bedding I chose was a celestal theme, with green, yellow, blue and purple colors. It seemed to be very neutral for either a boy or a girl. We are just now getting to painting white letters for each of their names to hang above the cribs...and some shelves.

Now as far as clothes, before I knew what I was having, I bought a lot of yellow, green and patterned onesies and sleepers. Couldn't pass up great garage sale finds! But once I knew what I was having, I bought pinks and blues for each baby. And believe me, I go through like 4 onesies a day sometimes with my baby girl, so your laundry will fill up fast. You will have a load of pinks to do in no time! But like the other poster mentioned, you can wash the pinks and blues together since they are usually fairly light.
