which car seats actual snap into the Baby Trend Double Snap N Go Stroller?

I've decided that since my babies are due in December and we live in a rural area in New England (no paved road or sidewalks) that I will only be taking the babies out initially in the car until the weather gets better in April. I think it's a good idea to get infant car seats and a Snap N Go Double Stroller initially. Then I will get convertable car seats and a proper double stroller - by which time the babies will be less fragile for moving from car seat to stroller.

So the consensus on the Snap N Go seems to be the one by Baby Trend - many good reviews and seems lightweight and not too expensive. But there seems to be a lot of confusion about which infant car seats snap onto the stroller. The Baby Bargains book mentions that some car seats actually snap into place where as others are just held with the strap. It seems safer to have them snap into place so whoever has a Baby Trend Double Snap N Go Stroller can you tell me which infant car seats work and if they are snap in's of strap in's.

Thanks - I think I have information overload! :woah:

I have one and we have the GRACO SNUG RIDE INFANT CAR SEATS. They snap, and are buckled into place on the stroller. I know there are a couple other seats that are compatible with this stroller. The instructions for the stroller show you how to adjust the setting to work with the type of carseat you have purchased. I cannot find my manual, or I would list them for you! Did you try the manufacturers website?

    Hi,
yes I checked the manufacturers instructions online and they list the following brands but not the actual models that work. I've also heard that there is a difference between the old all black stroller and the new one with silver bars. Baby Trend, Britax, Evenflo, Graco & Peg Perego

Boy do I miss my DSNG! I used the Graco snugride and loved them. They aren't heavy to begin with, and believe me, when you have two to tote around, that extra weight makes a huge difference.

We bought the baby trend double snap and go and we bought evenflo car seats with it. They snap right over the bars just like it snaps into the car seat base into the car. The stroller is light weight and folds up small. It has a decent sized basket underneath for stuff too. Once the babies grow out of the seats we have a side by side combi we will use.

We just got the brand new black double snap n go with the silver adjustable bars. We have Chicco KeyFit 30 infant car seats as those are the seats that we really preferred based on safety, reviews, comfort, and looks. They do not "snap" into the stroller as the Baby Trend seats do. However, they do fit into the frame VERY snugly (NO WAY that they are falling out) and of course we belted the seats in as tightly as we possibly could. The only issue I see with the Chicco seats is that they are so snugly fit together on the frame that I wouldn't imagine that you would use them past six months or so as the babies became taller and their feet were more towards the bottom of the car seat if that makes any sense!

I have the Chicco Keyfit 30 seats too and also find that they fit very snugly in the Snap n' Go even though they don't technically "snap" into it.
