I was going to go on a camping trip with my dh and our friend, who is up from Seattle, but my back hurt too much that I decided to skip it. So, I went to the state fair with some friends who were going to crash at our house while we were gone. Instead, I am just staying here with them and their little boy. Well, the three of us (and the three babies) all left the fair at the same time, but I knew they were going to stop at a friend's house on the way back to see their new little baby. They said they would be back here about an hour after me, which I was happy about since I knew I would NEVER be able to handle the night time routine by myself.

By 7:20pm they still weren't here and I just started without them, thinking they would be here any minute...surely by bottle time...:) Well, it's 8:25pm and they are still not here, but I just went on without them. I decided to feed them their bottles on the EZ 2 nurse pillow and put each one down in their beds afterward. They both cried for 10 minutes and went to sleep! I really didn't think it would be that easy! I thought...oh my gosh, I have to do this by myself! How am I going to do it?! I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of myself. I'm not going to tell my dh how easy it was however!

Great job! I always found that I thought something would be hard to do by myself, until I tried it. You develop a strategy and somehow it works out!!!

That’s awesome :clapping: … the few (and I mean maybe 3x I have HAD to do it by myself)… I go in thinking omg this is gonna hurt… but I think they feel bad or sympathize with me and are the best… they tend to only be really “difficult” when someone is helping… hummm… I’m still not brave enough to voluntarily do it on my own :nea: …

YAY!! I'm so glad you did it by yourself & that they slept well afterward!

I've done our bedtime routine by myself more than I would like to count AND my DH has NEVER done it by himself!!! GAH.

Thanks for all the congrats! I am really grateful that it did work out. Next week DH will have to do it on his own too, so it will be interesting! I know I can sympathize with him. :)
