where to buy tricycles?

We had been wanting to get the kids tricycles, but were so taken aback by the prices! And as you all know, you have to get 2.....so we just couldn't afford them. We tried out the cheaper ones, but they tipped way too easily. Anyway, we were lucky enough to get a nice Kiddio tricycle on loan & now we only need one. I've looked at Craigslist, etc, but just can't seem to find a used one for sale. So where do you go to buy them? Anyone with good deals?

 

I think there are some on sale at Target this week, the push handle ($40 some each though). I bought the girls Schwinn tricycles at Costco for their birthday, but they were $59.99/each. I liked that they were low to the ground, very classic looking, with big tires because they'll have to use them in the yard a lot. They should last them several years and they can be used again, even for a boy, since they are red.

 

We got the classic radio flyer trikes from Target. Little big right now, but plenty room to grow. They were like $45ish.

 

We got one Kettler as a hand-me-down, and bought another at the twins club sale last year. We had our semi-annual sale just last week, and I saw two more for sale.

free/fast amazon shipping. they'll last a long time, no tipping. only downside is no handle, but honestly i didn't want a handle. if i'm going to push them, they'd better be in a stroller. pushing 2 trikes is too hard for me.
