Where should I have my shower?

My shower is scheduled for Jan 21. I'll be 29 weeks basically. We were planning on having it at a local bank's community room, but since we just closed on our first house and things are going well and it looks like we'll be completely in way before the 21st, and I'd love to show off my new home, would it be stupid to have it there? It's small (only 1100 sq ft) and we are expecting maybe 30 people or so, but I know we could squeeze in everyone, it would just be cramped. I liked the thought of it being there, not only for the showing off of our new home, but also to eliminate the trouble of packing up and bringing the babies' stuff to our house. And every will get to see the nursery, at least, as much of it as we have done.

My family would set it all up and handle the cleaning, so no stress for me there.

    Thoughts?

Having it at your house sounds like a great idea. As long as your family is doing most of the work. You don't want to stress yourself.

As long as you are comfortable having it at home that is what I would do, it would be nice to not have to transport all the gifts.

Mine was scheduled at my house without me even knowing it. It was the summer so they had planned to set everything up outside. If you would prefer to have it there then I say go for it!

I had my friends do my shower at home. It was great because I didn't have to actually GO anywhere, if I felt woozy, I didn't have to feel bad for going to lie down and we didn't have to transport gifts across town cuz' everything was already here. I'm with everyone else: if you won't get too stressed out having it at home then go for it!

Have it at your house....you will be more comfortable there and then you won't have to pack up all the gifts and move them.

Sounds like a great plan, but make sure THEY are doing all the work. By 29 weeks, after a move, you will be FRIED!!! Congrats on your new home!!!! (Our house is that size too and we have managed to squeeze in 30 people before.)
