Where/ how do you feed them their bottles

I have always fed Jack and Lily on the couch with them being propped up on their boppies. They are now 6 mos. old and this is obviously not going to work anymore. They are intent on sitting up the minute that I put them in the boppies but they can't quite sit yet so it turns into more of a roly poly all over the couch thing that is fun for everyone but does not result in much eating. They are also just moving too much in general for this to work anymore. Where/ how do you bottle feed at this stage? We are only doing one solids meal a day (late afternoon) and that is in the high chairs but I even have a problem with those because Jack is intent on eating the tray, the arm, or even the buckles on the high chair and not that interested in anything he is supposed to eat. Lily, in the meantime, manages to get her legs up behind her tray and suck her toes throughout the meal.

They are not holding their own bottles yet, which is fine with me - their interest in eating is so low that I don't think they would eat if they were to feed themselves.

Thanks in advance to those who have BTDT and have some advice!

At that age we were doing bouncy chairs if we had to feed them alone. I would sit with my back against the couch and turn the bouncies back to back and just rest my elbows on the sides of the chair and double feed.

I did the same thing! It was the only way. Sometimes if they were really antsy, I'd pop in a baby einstein dvd and let me watch it while I fed them in their chairs.

ditto, I still strap them into their bouncies (at 11 months!) first and last feedings of the day because I am CONSTANTLY by myself with DH away on trips, and because it is part of the bedtime routine. The other bottles they get in their high chairs.
They really don't like being strapped in to bouncies OR high chairs, but tough luck for them, and once they start drinking, they stop goofing around for the most part.

I put the boppies on the floor starting somewhere between 4 and 5 months. I sat right there with them and used bottle proppers.

I have a boppy for Katie and it is the greatest thing for feeding...

I wish I would have had one for the boys that would have been the easier way to feed them at the same time.

When they were little I put them in their bouncers side by side and fed them.

It is absolutely hysterical - I will have to post a picture. I swear she spends more time sucking on her toes and all I ever get to see is her back side! She has even managed to get them up behind the front bar thing that attaches to her bouncy seat (the rainforest one).
