We just got ours taken and we used a local photographer that works out of her home. You can check them out here:

We paid $175 and got a 10x20, 4-8x10 and 8-5x7. We also got full digital copies of all the images, which is great because we can print as much as we want for no additional cost.

Perhaps you can look in your area for something similar.

HOLY COW - that's a great deal!! I wish I lived in your area!!

We get ours done once a month at JCPenney. I always get their coupons out of the Sunday paper. My friend has gone to Target and loved them.

For us it was a toss up between Sears and Penny's; I was leaning toward Sears because the studio is a lot bigger and nicer, but JCPenny won out because their coupons are a lot better. A LOT better. If you go online, you can find a "families with multiples" coupon. We saved about $60 in sitting fees because the coupon said "no sitting fee" but didn't specify up to how many, so we put the whole family in there - grandma, cousins, everyone! I got some adorable pix and it was only about $40. We were very rushed, though and it was a tight squeeze.

I use The Picture People. I'm very lucky that the two photographers I use there are VERY talented. I spend a Butt Load of $ there. By FAR the biggest expense of having The Boy. I am very pleased with my pictures. I hate it when other people don't have good experiences there. For me, they're the bomb.

We love the sears where we are at. The girls in there always seem to get a smile out of the girls and if anything (and I mean the smallest thing) goes wrong we always wind up with free sheets. My step mom bought the membership for us when the girls were born so we don't have to pay the sitting fee or anything and for $45 I got 4 8x10's, 2 5x7's, 16 3 1/2 x 5's. We'll always make the first appt for the day and since it's not Christmas we are usually the only ones in there and they pretty much let us do what we want.

We have used the Picture People in the past and they were very expensive, but if you join their club thingy you get one free 8 x 10 a month or something, my neighbor does it and that is the only reason - so she'll get a free pic of her little girl.

We go to Kiddie Kandids at BRU. They do a great job, there's always coupons and no sitting fee. Plus you get your pics right away.

We have used Pic people, Portrait innovations, sears, Jcpennys, Olan Mills, walmart. Out of those portrait innovations is my fave. But i rencently found a local photographer that will take as many pics in one hour at any location you want for $ 75 and you get the disc and the copyrighted rights to get them printed where ever or print yourself! She is wonderful. when i get the disc i will post a pic here too! I saw a few during and they looked awesome. Plus she is going to do some stuff in Photoshop!

We had our very first professional photos done at Sears at 6 months old, only because we didn't have a JC Penny studio in town. I paid $200 for this package deal and I think we got 18 sheets (8X10s, 5 X7s and wallets and 2 collages, 2 CDs of the all the pictures tp freely print and free enhancements). I'd loved to know how Rachel&Emily got so many sheets for only $45!! PM me girl! I didn't think the photographer did very much to get them to smile. WE did most of the work. I kept telling her ways to get them to smile and she just didn't try hard enough and I was like, ooook....I'll do this myself! So we managed to get all the smiles out of them, mainly by singing to them and she just snapped the pictures. Some of the times they were smiling, she wasn't taking the pictures- I was like- TAKE THE PICTURE- they're smiling!! :nea: Geez. But we did end up with some really cute ones. I was pretty happy. I will probably go back, but maybe try a different photographer. The quality of the pictures seemed good.

We just tried Portrait Innovations for the first time and they did a fabulous job. I highly recommend them.

I used to go to Sears, but they didn't do so well with the girls once they got older. Their early pictures were good (from Sears).

We actually just got the twins first professional pictures done on Friday at Portrait Innovations. They did a good job. Here is the link to the pictures I uploaded from the session. We got 9 of our favorite poses including 1 8x10 of each 2 5x7's and 9 wallets of each pose + 4 10x13 special prints and the cd for $179 not too bad.
