i am not a big fan of the mall. if i go to the mall i will just keep spending money. i love to buy them things.

i am going to be getting them in the stroller and walking around. where do you take 10 month old twins. what do you do with them?

anyone taking a gymboree class with your twins? if so how do you do it?
most of my friends are working during the day and have older kids. i dont know anyone else who has babies that i can call and go out with so i would be doing this by myself.

    any ideas?

I don't know where you live, but here in Ohio, I can't wait for spring weather to settle in... some of the local metroparks have some excellent walking trails!
I have an older DD, so my baby twins get out of the house often just because the 3-yr-old does. It's "second-child syndrome..." the second (and third) kids get dragged around to all of their older sibs' functions!
I would suggest that you look into joining a local chapter of Moms Club International. I joined when my DD was 8 months old. I was fairly new to my area, and didn't really know any other SAHM's with young babies. Moms Club gave me a great network of new friends, and a calendar of activities to participate in every month!
I also started taking my DD to Gymboree classes when she was about 18 months old... but 10 month-olds would probably love it too! There was a set of twins in one of my DD's classes; they came with their au pair. If not Gymboree, consider a music class! I also did a 'swim and gym' class at the YMCA when DD was around one.

Have you tried a library storytime? Or just to the library at a non story time? Do you have a local Community Center or Y? We have a Community Center that has a big playroom for kids 0-3 Monday mornings and 0-5 Friday mornings. There is a place that sells those big wooden playsets that allows kids to come in a climb on the showroom pieces for $2/kid. I did a Kindermusik class with my older DD, and all four of us have one at that Community Center starting in April. Parks - the play ones of course, but the trails are nice for a change of pace of walking around the neighborhood. I second the recommendation of joining a moms club. Ours has lots of activities, but the best part for the kids is a playgroup.

i too cannot wait for the warmer weather to kick in i live in new york not in thecity though. we do have places i can walk them around but in the cold weather i dont even feel like walking around. today i am making my first shopping trip with the two of them usually DH comes with me. he wanted me to wait until he got home at 3pm but i am going to do it myself. call it practicing by myself. i know i can do it it's not that hard i have always done it when they were in their infant carriers now they r too big for that so i will have to adjust. i will look into the moms clubs. sounds great thanks.

We also go to the library a lot. The staff are really sweet and love to see the guys crawling allover and pulling up on the shelves. I keep a close eye on them, of course, and we don't go at busy times.

We are in Florida, thank goodness, so we are outside all of the time. Jack and Lily are 9 months and 3 weeks and we take walks twice a day and the rest of the day they play on either our front covered wrap around porch or our backs screened in porch. We have also been going swimming lately. DH and I have always gone out to eat on the weekends and one day during the week for dinner so we still do that as well. We have taken them out to dinner since they were newborns and now we just go and have a cocktail and get an appetizer and the rest carryout for bedtime's sake. I also have a grocery store very close so we walk there often. I am not sure where you are located but warmer weather should be on its way to you soon.

I agree with all these other suggestions. We have been doing Gymboree for the past 5 weeks and we love it. Fortunately I have a mother who doesn't work, friends who work at night, and a husband who was off for spring break (teacher) so I've had a pretty steady rotation of helpers. I will tell you that it is definitely NOT something you can do alone contrary to what the salesperson told me over the phone. Much of the class is spent with mommy or daddy holding baby up or putting them on their knees/lap/etc. I would not sign up for it if you know you don't have anyone to go with you. Someone told me that at their particular location, the teacher volunteered to use one of her twins as her model during class, but you would have to clear it with the instructor first. I asked mine and she said they couldn't. But I think it's worth asking. Good luck!

Pretty much anywhere you can think of! Just the typical running errands, mall etc but i know what u mean about spending money! They are also 10months now too and we can go out to lunch or mall food court and they can eat actual food! Also our mall has a little play area that they are loving now. There are also a few kids play places w/ ball pits, slides, that type of thing...library story time, we have found an indoor pool at a hotel that we can swim at for free so we go there about twice a wk. We also are part of a SAHM group that i found on Meetup.com. its worth looking into..maybe u could even find a twins group. Our group does activites almost everyday! I dont bring them to a lot yet bc they cant participate but soon we will be able to go a lot more places. Oh and we also have walking trails--it will be warm soon! I CANT WAIT!
Oh and just wanted to add that we r still using the infant carrier seats but now for the grocery store/walmart/target i take them out of the seats and let them sit in the cart and they LOVE IT!! 1 sits up in front and i put a blanket down in the back for the other (but she prefers to stand lol)
