Where did you get your glider?

I'm looking for a glider rocker but it's pretty difficult to find anything affordable. I need something extra-wide so that I can breastfeed both babies at once. But I need both the chair and ottoman together for $300 or less. [IMG] I found one online but it didn't come with an ottoman. And I'm wary of buying online just in case it gets here and isn't what I expected/want. We looked at two furniture stores and two baby stores. I found a great one at BRU - the chair alone was $500 and the ottoman was over $100 more!!! It was made exclusively for BRU so I can't find the same chair anywhere.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

Have you tried looking at a recliner? We found a rocker/recliner at a local furniture store...wide, comfy, and cheap. Ours rounded out at right around $300, and it wasn't the cheapest one there. HTH!

Sorry I can't help you out much, but thought that I would let you know that I purchased a glider 6 years ago when our 1st child was on route, I didn't want to just get one, just to have one...but I spent quite a bit on it, and am glad that I did now because we still use it everyday, and its still in excellent shape. A few people I know bought a couple of gliders at the local store here because they were less expensive, but they fell apart. Sometimes you do pay for what you get, I just wanted mine to last forever.

Although my husband was choked for a while that I spent as much as I did on it, 6 years later he is getting my point.

    Just my opinion...

If you are someone who will use a glider or rocker, spend some money on it. I went through so many over the years, I should have just forked out the dough for something worthwhile. The rocker/glider will be our chief investment this time around.

I wanted to get something comfy and I wanted TWO so that DH & I could be in there at the same time...so we needed something Very affordable. I got my gliders ON SALE at Value City Furniture for around $100 a piece & they both came with ottomans. They aren't wide enough for feeding two babies at once but they are VERY comfortable compared to other similarly priced Gliders.

    Reyna -

I am thinking of getting the CostCo glider as well due to how wide it is. Since you already have yours, do you think it will be wide enough to hold two babies at once?

    Thanks.

We got our glider at Kmart for $99 and it's worked wonderfully for 4 years. It is in the living room so it gets used everyday, including as a spin toy for the 3-year-olds. [IMG] It's a standard glider though and not extra wide. I have heard of other moms of twins having success with a recliner as well.

We ended up getting a leather recliner that we will put in the nursery, but will match our great room furniture later on.

We were going to go the glider route, but the arms just didn't look wide enough and then when I found one wide enough it was $500.

Just a tip....take your nursing pillow with you when you test it out. I was going to get a glider and then I put the nursing pillow around me and my nipples would have to be on my shoulders for it to work, lol! The recliner sat lower and put them at a good spot.
