Hi ladies- I'm going to Connecticut (from California) for several weeks (probably 2 months) and I'm going to need 2 cribs and 2 high chairs for the girls. My parents already have a supergate so I'm good there. The girls are 11 months and are ok in packnplays. My mom thinks we will need cribs for them. Is there a forum here where I can get in touch with someone to borrow their cribs/high chairs while I'm there? Any suggestions would be great!

    Thanks!!

Maybe Craigslist? I'm not really sure though. Have fun on your trip though!

I've heard of baby equipment rental services. They even drop off at the location you would be staying. I have no idea what this service would be called, but I heard about it right after we went back to IL to visit my family (we are in AK). I thought this would never already be up here, but they have a service up here for that too. If that is up here in Alaska, then it has to be in Connecticut.

    Good luck and have fun!

I would check out, or have your Mom check out, either rental places or resale shops.

A quick google check got me two places in CT that rent equipment. Link here.

Hope you have a great trip!

You can rent equipment if you want, but honestly I think if you went out and bought mattresses for the pnp (they sell them for $20) they would work just fine and may be cheaper than a rental. You could wait until you got to CA to buy them and then just leave them there or sell them when you were done. As far as highchairs, you could probably pick them up very cheap at a garage sale or go out and buy the Fisher Price boosters ($25) and again, it may be cheaper than renting.

    Good luck!

Thanks ladies! I'm going to try to see if there is a MOTC in CT since I'm in one here in CA. Ours is always putting stuff up for sale and cheap too!!

Our baby resale shops rent equipment too. We rented a carseat a couple of times when my nephew was visiting. Craigslist would be the other best option maybe even put a wanted add in the baby section for where you are going.
