My LO's are almost 17 months old and both only have TWO teeth (two bottom front one's)!! They didn't get the first two until they were almost 13 months, but expected to see more by now. Any other's with really late teethers? When did they get them? I think DD has a third one about ready to pop through, but not certain. I'm not really worried that they have a problem or that they won't get teeth, I'm just kind of ready for them to get some so they can chew more types of food!! Don't get me wrong, it's pretty impressive what they can gum, but I'm sure teeth would help.

It's funny. One of my twins has just 2 teeth (bottom) and the other one has 6! the two on the bottom and just popped out 4 on top in a week..They only had the 2 for longest time! THis is unusual for us because my older two daughters had about 8 by the time they turned a year old. But it certainly hasn't stopped them from eating! They eat more than my other kids did at this age! It's weird how different it is for each kid. Good luck with the teething...I have two kids losing them and two kids getting them. FUN!

My guys teethed fairly late; no teeth appeared until 10.5-11 months old, and then they only had 2 for the longest time. But then suddenly teeth started popping out like crazy! Nate is cutting 5 right now, and I swear I saw Jack's upper second year molars today while I was playing with him on my lap!!

My boys have never had a problem eating almost anything without teeth; like yours they ate almost everything without any molars.

I bet your LOs will be like mine and start cutting tons of teeth in rapid succession. Good luck, and stock up on the ibuprofen!! :faint: ;)

I had one late teether and she was a VERY late teether!!!! She didn't get a single tooth until she was 13.5 months old :woah: And her first two teeth were her top teeth, go figure. She then got her bottom ones but that took another 4-5 months. She's 25 months and is still 3 teeth behind her twin brother.
My youngest is 13 months and has 3 teeth but has had them for 3 months or so and nothing since. Teeth are funny, every kid gets them at a different time and in a different place.

My girls are almost 17 months old. One has 4 teeth and one has 12 teeth! I was actually wondering the same thing! Glad my girls are normal!

I had a normal teether and a late teether (13 mos, closer to 14 for her first tooth). The good news is, they both ate the same foods. The amount of teeth never impacted what they ate. By the time they were old enough to make use of their molars by eating carrots, they both caught up to each other!

I'm glad to hear all of this! My twins didn't get their first ones until about 10.5-11 months and they are now 13 months and still each only have two. We aren't as late in teething department as some.

I'm sure you ladies are ready for more teeth!!!
