The May June mommies have their thread. We need ours! I know that Kitkat is due the day before me and just found out that lorin is due the same day (thank goodness for siggys )

I know that there are more than just the three of us...

    C'mon ladies! Let's compare notes!

I'm Dora, 34.5 (yeah I still do the half thingy ), third pregnancy, have a 4 year old daughter and a 16 year old son/young man. Stuck in the coldness of Indiana...

Hello! I am due July 16th... am 34 and have a 2.5 year old. I am in frigid North Dakota so it's been interesting keeping my 2 year old busy...ugh. At this point in my pregnancy I feel better than I have any of the first 14 weeks so I am trying to use my time wisely!!!

HI! I'm not as far along as most of you ladies, I'm due August 13th, though this is the 40 week date so I'm guessing it'll really be sometime in late July. My name is Melissa, I'm 33, and we conceived our twins with IVF after what seemed like a lifetime of trying (but was actually only 2 years). These are our first. They're di/di.

I'm living in sub-zero Brooklyn, NY, but I'm from the South (and missing it terribly right now!). Looking forward to being part of this group!

Welcome to all who have came so far :welcome:

What's the one thing that you didn't expect with the twin pregnancy?

Me, well, I'd say the fact that everyone is more concerned about this pregnancy than my other 2. I love my other kids too! But I didn't get as much attention with those as I do with these 2 monsters  (I call them peas/monsters/thing1&2 and whatever else I can think of at the moment until I find out what they are..so I'm just joking  )

My nausea has also been unbelievably awful... It was bad for my first pregnancy and I never imagined it being any worse and it has been! I also am surprised at how "big" I already feel, but haven't gained any weight.

Hello there...My name is Karen,I live in Georgia, I will be 37 in February, this is my 1st pregnancy,I was emotionally happy to find that I will be having twins,My due date is July 13th.Some of the experiences that I have been having is trouble breathing/shortness of breath-my doc says that this is normal,I hate to be around smells examp....(cigarette smoke, household cleaners, fowl smells, heavily put on cologne/perfume,you name it..) if its not fresh air or naturally pleasant, I get what seems like sinus headaches. This so called round ligament pain is scary to me (I think that I hurt the babies)It seem like I am constantly hungry so far I've only gained 11 lbs. I am very happy to be in my 14th week, because it seems as if the morning sickness stuff is letting up a bit.I hope to have a boy/girl combo-although I know that god knows whats best and I appreciate him continuing to keep me and the babies safe and healthy.I have not found out the sexes yet.I may find out at the next visit which is Feb. 8th and they will also be drawing more blood to test for generational problems or something, its not the amino test-and this will be my fourth doctor visit, I've already had 2 ultrasounds-all looking good(If anyone is familiar with this blood test that I will be taking, please reply and inform me on what to expect, please.)the doc told me the name of this test but I forgot. Its nice to know that we are all traveling on this journey together,God bless and Good health and good pregnacy to us all. :)

Hello everyone! My name is Jenn. I will be 30 in May. My EDD is July 17th with mono/di twins. We hope to find out the sex at our next ultrasound. I have a 10 year old daughter, 8.5 year old daughter, and a 9 month old son at home. We live in freezing northern Michigan.
I was in total shock when we found out we were having twins. I never expected it, this was our last pregnancy as we wanted a sibling close to our sons age. God had different plans....he wanted two siblings for James to play with! I think the biggest shocker is how quickly I am getting big. I can't believe it when I look at my stomach and think, "I still have 20+ weeks to grow!!"
Until we know their sex and have picked out names we have come up with Baby A & Baby B nicknames....Angel and Blessing. I am so happy that I found TS and am able to share this journey with others going through the same thing or get advice from those who have been through it. Wishing you all a happy and healthy pregnancy!

The siggy calculator was agrivating me because when I posted it I had just had a Dr. Apt and I knew I was axactly 14 weeks and I was on pregnancy.about.com and it said I was exactly 14 weeks yet the siggy calculator was setting me back a day so I adjusted it to be accurate :D I'm happy when everyday goes by uneventful so I wasnt going to let the siggy jip me a day...LOL.. Great Idea starting a space for us July/August Mommies:clapping:

I'm just joining! My name is Lorin. I am 20 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I live in Austin, Tx. My due date is July 8th also! I am having mono/di twins and they think they are both girls but we will see.. Since this is my first pregnancy everything is shocking and new to me but what has been the worst is the morning sickness which luckily stopped about a week ago!!!! Due to the morning sickness I lost about 15 lbs and have only gained about 2 after I stopped losing.
Thank you for creating our own group I'm so excited!

I am Michele from Ohio. I just turned 30. I am really excited. Morning sickness is still roaring in the evenings, so my mornings are filled with a lot of eating. I have only gained 3 pounds thus far, and I am pretty sure it is all cream cheese!

hi everyone, my name is kristine and i'm 27. this is my first pregnancy and i'm due on august 27th but expected to deliver late july/early august around 36-37 weeks. i'm currently 8 week 6 days into my pregnancy and had my first ob/gyn appointment yesterday. normally i wouldn't have gotten an ultrasound but i didn't remember when my last period was so they did one to determine age and wouldn't you know they're were 2 babies in there! needless to say this came as a complete and utter shock to my husband and i since neither of our families have twins and we didn't use an fertility treatments. the doctor said that they seem to be identical and that we may know in as little as 3 weeks what the sex of the babies are.

we are both, my husband and i, excited but scared out of our minds. everything around us just got smaller, our house, our cars, our bank accounts! we had just prepared ourselves for having 1 baby, financially, and now we have to prepare to afford 2!

so far i've gained about 5lbs. the funny thing is that i somehow knew it would be twins before we were told or heard the heartbeats. i just had this feeling....weird.

    Ladies...
I'm a little nervous...I have an appointment with my peri in the morning. Last week I was rushed to the hospital due to what they said was round ligament pain. Well, I forgot to mention to the docs at the hospital that I also have a cyst the size of a baseball on my ovary. No one else has ever been concerned about it. It totally slipped my mind. But after searching the net for a few days I have let that all get to me. So I'm going to try my best to push away from my keyboard until I see my doc tomorrow. I have a headache thinking the worse and I can't sleep. I have sooooo many questions for her tomorrow, I just hope that she can put my mind to ease...

A friend of mine had an issue like that when she was pregnant with her daughter and everything was fine the cyst went away over time.

Why dont you try calling the doctor today and see if you can talk to her over the phone, if you tell the nurse how stressed you are she may have the dr call you fast maybe it would give you some piece of mind.
I dont meet my peri till 18 weeks but my OB is awsome about calling me anytime himself and calming any worry I have.

    Keep us updated...

    Hello,

My name is Rachel, I'm 33 years old but still tell everyone I'm 28. This is my 2nd pregnancy, we have a son who will be 2 on Feb. 15 (but started the terrible 2's early). Our due date is Aug 4th, we don't yet know the sex but hope to find out soon. We're not sure where the twins came from and we're still trying to get over the shock of it all....we've know since NYE, but it still doesn't seem real to me.

I'm surprised by how tired, emotional and weak I am. Walking up the stairs makes my legs sore and scrubbing a pan hurts my arm. I've always been pretty active and worked out up until about 8 months with my first pregnancy including a 1/2 marathon at 7 months. So this has been really weird for me. I take a 2/3 hour nap in the afternoon and I'm still tired by 9:30 at night. I'm actually tired of being tired.

We live in MI, about 1 hour north of Detroit. It's freezing cold here and miserable.

I too had a friend with the same issue and everything turned out good. I've found with twins that everything makes you worry just that much more. Good luck, please keep us posted.

Sorry I'm late... (I had to take my afternoon nap  )
It was wonderful! He said that based on todays ultrasound measurements that the cyst on my ovary was shrinking and then asked if I knew about the one on my cervix (which I did not) He said that he could tell that I have had it for some years and that it was no problem either...So yeah, I still have round ligament pain...I'll take it!

    And I've got 2 girls!!!

    Hi Ladies,

I have been MIA for a few days, needed to take a step back and stop obsessing. Are we moving to the July - Sept forum?

I am 11 weeks today (Stacey, you and I are the same!). I had my first OB appointment on Monday (previously I had been with an RE), and I LOVED her! There aren't any good or recommended peri's at my hospital so I went with this highly recommended OBGYN. She has handled tons of twins and is open to considering vaginal delivery if everything goes well. And she'll see me 2x a month after 14 weeks...and she'll send me to a Peri clinic for a Level II scan. But best of all, she just had a baby herself (her 4th!) and she was pumping while I was getting my blood drawn (not in the same room, but I knew because she brought the bottles into the nurses' station to put it in the fridge. Something about that just made me feel like we're all in it together. She GETS it!

This is my first pregnancy, so I can't really separate what is shocking about pregnancy in general from what is shocking about a twin pregnancy. I didn't expect to have so many anxieties or misgivings, and I didn't expect it to bother me that my body is getting bigger. I have wanted to be pregnant for SO long that I think I expected to be in a state of bliss, but instead it has been an adjustment. Part of that was the morning sickness, which blessedly ended last week. Also the fatigue, which is getting better. I have the round ligament pain too, OUCH!

I have only gained about 5 pounds, but I have quite a pouch! Tonight DH took a picture. We agree that no one would know I'm pregnant. They'd just think I'd had a few too many slices of pizza this month!

***TMI WARNING***Tonight I'm slightly worried because my bladder (or uterus?) hurts when I urinate. Its not a sharp or unbearable pain, just a little uncomfortable. Kind of a dull ache. I've never had a UTI so I'm not sure if that's what this is. And quite honestly just don't want to take time off from work and treck out to the doctor in the cold for a test when I was just there 3 days ago! But is there anything else it could be? I'm tender in my uterine area in general, with mild cramps every few days, which my doctor said was nothing and I shouldn't worry.

Anyway, sorry for the long rambling post. I'm glad we started this thread! Have a good night everyone.
    Melissa
