I just hit my second Trimester..WoooHooo....So my mom and sister where talking about starting to plan the baby shower, I had already told them with twins lets do it early (my sons was at 36 weeks) When do you ladies think is best I was thinking like 26 weeks but i didnt know if that was too soon, I just want to get everything done before I get too unconfortable...or like many end up on bed rest.

I was 33 weeks pregnant when I had my shower, but that is considered late for twin baby showers! I think 26 weeks sounds delightful! I also took my multiples class late too! It all worked out, but so much could have gone wrong!

I've seen this question asked a few times and most people say to try to have them by 28 weeks. I think 25-28w is a good range. I had two showers, at 26w and 29.5w and it worked out well (the second one was probably pushing it a little but fortunately I didn't end up on bedrest until 34w).

I had mine in mid-March, and the babies were born in mid-June at 38 weeks.

    Definitely do it early.

Multiples class is a class like lamaze.. ask at your clinic. Our hospital puts them on... it teaches you what to expect with delivery and a bit after birth.

My baby shower was schedule for December 6th, which put me at 26 weeks. I was put on bed rest the Wednesday before. I say 26 weeks is good!

I would do it earlier rather than later. My shower was going to be Oct 22nd. (when I was about 30 weeks) and I got put into the hospital on bed rest 3 days before that. I had to cancel the shower and ended up having a couple of mini ones in my hospital room. My girls were born at 36 weeks. It doesn't hurt having early.

I agree with pp about having it earlier then later, i had mine at 29 weeks and i thought it was a good time. I wasn't too uncomfortable, but i wouldn't have wanted to have it much later..

These last few weeks I have been really tired and I will be very glad to put up all the stuff from the shower and don't want to mess with it much more..

I am having one at 29w and one at 30w. So Jan 10 and 17th- I hope I am not too uncomfortable at that point. I had difficulty planning them earlier b/c of the holidays or I would have wanted them earlier.

I attended the class at John Muir Medical Center - Walnut Creek, CA - which was excellent!
