When you had one twin that PT, how long did it take the other to catch on?

    I FINALLY bit the bullet.

Gabe was potty trained the moment I took his diapers away. ZERO accidents and we are on day 3. The kid is wonderboy.

Nicolas- different story. He isn't fully on board yet.

He gets upset when he sees how fabulous his brother is at it and the whole thing just isn't going as smoothly w/ him.

This is par for the course tho and has been this way w/ everything as far as STTN, crawling, walking etc, so it's to be expected.

My question is- how long did it take your 2nd twin to catch on?

    TIA!

Sarah was the first to potty for us. Allison wanted nothing to do with it, so I concentrated on Sarah. I tried again in about two months with Allison and she caught on super quick. As a matter of fact, Allison was the first to be completely potty trained. It took Sarah about 6 more months before she would poop in the potty, where as Allison was pooping and peeing like a champ. It just took Allison a little longer to get started.

Matthew trained really fast at 38 months. Stephen has taken forever to train and we're still working on it. He just has such a different personality that it has been difficult, but he is starting to catch on. So, all in all, we started again after a break 2 months after brother and it has taken 2 months to get it almost done. A 4 month gap.

Honestly, I would treat them as singletons. PT is physical, as well as mental, so if he is not "on board", he's probably not ready. My son day-trained himself at just over 2. I think he had 2 accidents total. However, he wore a diaper at night until 4. My daughter, on the other hand, day/night trained at the same time. She was just over 3 -- 9 months after my son. Prior to that, she was physically not ready.

    Best of luck.

    WOOHOO! WTG BOYS!

I was just going to say that I started training Aiden on a Friday. He had 2 accidents in the first 3 days & that was it. He was my super star potty training child. I essentially did nothing...he trained himself! I didn't think Conner was ready, so I totally focused on Aiden. Next thing I knew, Conner trained himself, too! He was in undies on a Wednesday...so 6 days later. Conner, however, had a lot of accidents over the following month (I KNEW he wasn't fully ready to train). But, ironically, Conner fully trained before Aiden. Aiden still wears a Pull Up at night but Conner's been sleeping in undies for a good 6-7 mos now. They both pee/pooped trained right away & were in undies (and dry) during naps. So, it's just the night time 'wait' with Aiden & then we'll be done! (Side note...as you said, Aiden was my first to do 'everything'...same with potty training!)

I hope things continue to go well in your household for your boys! Keep it up Gabe & Nicolas!

    Congrats on PT'ing your boys!

My more resistent potty-trainer, trained 1 week after her sister. She was only resistent because she is kind of lazy, but once she saw all the attention and cool undies her sister got, she jumped on board very quickly.

Ugh. I have one that has been PT for a year and the other one not so much. He has a week of doing great and then we revert back to crapping in pants. :gah:

Lol, Rachel. I love the terminology! Love it!

Well, we started on Friday so it's only been a few days. I'm going to do diapers for naps and bedtime for a while, not sure when I'll be ready to stop that. I still have them in cribs so I am not rushing that.

    YAY!!

Good question. I have one that has been trained for a month or so and one that could care less.
