My guys each have about 8 teeth. I cannot wait until they get the rest b/c I would be so happy not to have to be worried about what I'm going to give them to eat...I think Noah is going to like raw veggies but all he can do right now is gum them..he likes to "chew" on raw carrots and celery..how long does it take for the rest of them to come in?

Amy & Sarah got their one-year molars at about 14 months, but the two-year molars are still coming in -- our ped said a lot of kids don't get them till closer to 3. Still, as long as they have the first set they can chew most stuff.

There's a huge range, though. I think A&S each had 12 teeth by 12 months, so if your guys are 15 months and have 8 teeth, you might be waiting awhile longer.

Lauren had eight at Christimastime. She got two of her one year molars last month and is currently working on the bottom two.

Emma, still only has TWO teeth. Yes, you read that right, my 17 month old daugther only has two bottom teeth and that's it.

There are a set of twins in our playgroup that had all of their teeth either right before or right after their first birthday.

So...it varies from child to child and I don't think there is really any way to tell.

My boys had no teeth at a year! Now, Jack has 11 teeth and Paul has 8 teeth. It hasn't bothered their eating at all- one of their faves is steak!!
We cut it up small of course.

Michelle I totally feel you--I've been convinced for months (like, five months) that Ronan is the only child on the planet that is destined to only ever have four teeth. Since 11 months. Four. That's it. And no sign of more. ^_^

Meanwhile, Mr. Declan has TWELVE teeth. Twelve. Including what I'm pretty sure are his first set of molars. As the nurse at the pedis put it "wow, he sure is a meat eater, hmm".

    So yeah--kids differ. :D

Jackie has a full set as of Monday. Beth is waiting on her 4 incissors (or however you spell it - sorry) but otherwise, done. I'm with you on it being nice once they have more teeth and can eat more.
